Awesome Mega Man Hoodie Has A Hidden Mega Buster

By Spencer . September 10, 2012 . 1:35am

Capcom and clothing company Punk Drunkers teamed up to make this sweet Mega Man hoodie. Yeah, we know those "P" tanks are supposed to be "E" tanks, but what makes this hoodie unique is its hidden Mega Buster. Roll up your sleeve and you can fire three bullets! Oh, and don’t forget to put on your hood helmet otherwise you’ll take double damage.

Capcom will sell the Mega Man hoodie in blue and black for 14,700 yen ($187) on their online shop.

They also have a Punk Drunkers Mega Man t-shirt for 5,250 yen ($67).

  • This is too cool— and expensive.

  • omeganeko

    Ow my wallet.

  • I would totally get this and wear it everywhere if it were a remotely reasonable price… but with shipping I’d be paying well over $200 for a hoodie. :<

  • Muffum

    …Hell, I’d buy i–

    Nevermind, then.

    • Brian

I know right! How the hell is that a reasonable price I could make that hoodie for a lot less money

  • Capcom …….  I don’t ask for this stupid thing

    • OatMatadoQuatro

Capcom’s CEO is Mr. Scrooge. He doesn’t care what people like. Maybe in December Mr. Scrooge will change his mind.

      • Mr. Scrooge (after the “visit”): It’s Christmas! And I know just what to do!
        *goes to his company*
Mr. Scrooge: Hello, Everyone! Merry Christmas!
        *everyone looks at him confused*
Mr. Scrooge: Everyone, I have an announcement to make: You can all have 3 months of fully paid vacation, starting now!
*everyone gets exited as they instantly get their money and leave immediately*

Mr. Scrooge: Now, I feel like I forgot something… Eh, maybe it’s nothing important…

        ~Happy 30th Anniversary, Megaman!~

        • Ghosts:

          Marley: Keiji Inafune
Ghost of Christmas Past: Classics Megaman
          Ghost of Christmas Present: Zero
Ghost of Christmas Future: Megaman Trigger

  • I’m speechless.

  • Xmas Lopez

Oh my god, I adore this hoodie. I’m totally gonna try and make one myself

    Huh…odd anniversary we’re having.

  • OatMatadoQuatro

And tomorrow, they will release *dramatic music* this

  • It’s not even that $187 is an absurd price for a really nice piece of clothing, it’s just that.. this doesn’t look like a really nice piece of clothing.  Novel, maybe.  Really cool, even.  But not especially ‘nice’, certainly not enough to warrant that price tag

    • samwise bateman

if they didn’t have pads on the hood and just had a different colour of thread to represent megaman’s head bumpies and if it didn’t have such weird graphic design it’d be pretty tight

i’d probably pay 100$ for it, maybe a bit more at that point

thing is, and i know a lot of y’all postin’ on here are nerds who probably really don’t “get” this, but seriously: spend a couple hundred dollars on one piece of really nice clothing and you get what you pay for, in make and design; so long, of course, that you didn’t spend that couple hun on something like this P.O.S.

  • d19xx

    $187 for a hoodie
    $67 for a t-shirt…
Add those together and they beat the price of a Vita.

Man I never though I would live the day that clothes would cost more than sophisticated electronic devices.

    • Hraesvelgr

There’s plenty of clothing that costs way more than most modern electronic devices.

    • Clearly, I’m surprised. Compared to most clothelines, this product is in the middle price range. There are WAAAAAY too many other clotheslines that are expensive than a hoodie and a couple T-Shirts. And they don’t all come from Japan or Europe.

  • sibarraz

    The hoodie is ugly imo

  • Shadowman

Awesome Hoodie!!! But what an ridiculous price.

  • Barrit

Wow that is a lot. What does it do besides have the hidden Mega Buster? Does it actually shoot, play sounds? Does the hoodie play a theme song when I enter a new room?  It surely must do something else for that price? Maybe those are add-on features down the line lol

    • Yep! DLC is sold separately!

      •  All that extra content is already sewn into the hoodie, but you have to pay extra to access it. *cough*

  • ZEROthefirst

Personally I think it’s pretty ugly, but it’s a Megaman hoodie and I need a new jacket to replace mine that was destroyed by a friends cat… but $190+ (have to include shipping&handling) that’s a no deal here!

  • The hoodie makes you look like bad box art Mega Man

  • CirnoLakes

I was going to say this was pretty cool.
But then I realized you can buy Mega Man cosplay outfits for cheaper.

Exactly how “punk” is buying clothes for such bourgeoisie prices?

  • French

I think I might buy a couple of T-Shirts, keep one and wear the other, its a piece history

  • Just Tim

Nice hoodie, but I feel this came late when the damage had been done.

  • WingsOfEternity

    >Megaman creator leaves
    >sell clothing based on his creations for (almost) 200 bucks
    Scumbag Capcom

  • Areuto

ouch my wallet just took 20 points of damage

  • Carocaro4

We fell in love in a hopeless place.

  • wahyudil

$60 for a shirt!!!! but I really want that hoodie …
