Time And Eternity: Toki Towa Story Scene Shows Princess Toki’s Tragic Wedding Day

By Spencer . September 13, 2012 . 2:50pm

Imageepoch released a new snippet from Time and Eternity: Toki Towa where Princess Toki reflects on the events that took place on her wedding day. "Guests" crashed her wedding and killed her fiancé – events foretold by Makimona, a fortune teller. Princess Toki travels back in time to rewrite history and, hopefully, tie the knot.

Time and Eternity: Toki Towa comes out on October 11 for PlayStation 3.

So when they going to show something else other the the wedding thing. They aren’t selling this game very well edit. God figgin meds kicking in..

    • Godmars

What else do you need to see?

      • SirRichard

Some hint as to who the enemies are and why they want her fiancé (but not her, apparently) dead, how and why she has two personalities, how she feels or deals with that, how she can even time-travel in the first place, any sort of detail about the world they’re in.

Really, there’s basically no context for why anything happens or why we should care, something basically every other game would have done by this point. They just keep circling their focus around the wedding and the anime visuals, with the occasional (not very encouraging) morsel of the combat.

      • Luna Kazemaru

Something ohh you know plot related other then the wedding and reused clips. I think we get the fact they get jumpped at the wedding. I would love to see more plot and badground on the enemies you will mainly be dealing with.

    • MrTyrant

Yeah, they are showing the eye candy animation and their moeish characters as the selling point. Don’t get me wrong because I like the game but I want to know more about the plot not just their silly wedding.

    • LynxAmali

       Considering it’s a pivotal point….

And besides, why would they show the later stuff? Ever hear of spoilers?

That’s like complaining they didn’t show any of the major revelations of the later half of Infinite Space in the trailers.

      • Luna Kazemaru

Completely missed the point what i am saying all the PVs have been nothing but ohh the guy gets killed at the wedding, time traval and the same battles they showed in PV2. That’s not looking good at all

There has to be more to the basic premise without spoiling too much… Besides, JRPG sites aren’t above spoiling a little for the sake of drawing customer interest. Hell, Legasista spoiled more than just the premise right on the main site, including revealing later characters; and that’s not even a story-centric game (even if it’s structurally sound).

My understanding of Toki no Towa’s story: WEDDING YAY -> OH NO MY FIANCE -> TIME TRAAAAVEL -> PLOT (with some cute girls) -> CHOOSE TOKI OR TOWA HAPPY ENDING YAY?

Also, what is up with the guy’s outfit? He kinda looks like the dragon Toki/Towa always have with them. Please don’t let that be one of the twists.

    • Darkrise

Honestly, I thought that guy’s outfit was very girly in the anime-style, compared to VOFAN’s which looks awesome. No he’s not the dragon, he’s been shown to be present while the dragon was there as well.

    • Tom_Phoenix

One of the trailers showed the “protagonist” and Towa watching the little blue dragon fly off towards two bigger dragons (probably his parents or something). So no, the prince and the dragon are not the same entity.

      • Anime10121

I dont see how everyone and their mom missed that part.  It’s like Imageepoch put that part in the trailer to definitively say THE PRINCE IS NOT THE DRAGON, and people STILL make that claim (with no more evidence than the dragon being the same color as the Prince’s hair).  And the funny thing is, some people were demanding Image epoch to outright confirm that they are the same, when the trailer did everything but confirm the opposite.

The more I see, Purple is becoming even more suspicious…… Man behind the “guests”?? Probability of becoming final boss: 50-70%

Also, the “plot” you guys wanted should be in the main website details lol…. I think. Since the main site might have more info…

    • http://wiredjungle.wordpress.com/ DrakosAmatras

In many Japanese fictional media I’ve seen, Purple is used as a “foul” color, associated with poison (Pokémon), darkness (when black needs a little luminance, it’s often purple) and such. Not always, but often enough. So I wouldn’t be surprised.
