        *Goes to watch*

  • Well played Namco Bandai. With Ninokuni in January, I wasn’t expecting new info this soon :)

  • keithmaxx

Have the VA for this localization been announced already?

  • Xapth

I don’t know why it took until now to hit me but…

This is really happening. Xillia is seriously being localized…

    Oh… GOD YES!

  • drproton

So has this been enhanced like usual?  I remember some complaints about it being unfinished for the Japanese release.

    •  No, we “just” get the Japanese version… In English :p

      • Jake Joe

The only thing this had complain was for it’s story. Pretty much most of them thought NamcoBandai would remake but instead they did Part 2

  • Tales_of_Master

Hopefully this does will so that we can get ToX2 here in the states too.

  • Oh my god, I feel like I’ve never played this game before and it’s brand new…1ST DAY BUY! *explodes*

  • IshimaruKaito

  • Its finally in english!

Now we just need to wait for the trailer.

  • Anime10121

Cant wait for this!  Xillia’s battle system looks completely awesome!  Oh and Leia, even though you’re cute as a button, I’ma need for you to be a little more honest, there are NOT 100 pics :P

    • drproton

I’d be surprised if they can beat Graces F’s battle system.  But if they can, it would be the best to date.

      • LynxAmali

         I’d say it does.

Then again, I couldn’t stand Graces’ battle system. It just felt too easy to break the game with.

        • agumike (けんじ)

Opposite for me. Graces reminded my of a much better version of the Destiny remake system. And Xillia was WAY too easy with how the battle system worked.

  • SupaPhly

how is the overworld in this game?
is it like vesperia/abyss where you can fly around freely to get to other cities? or is it like graces where it gives you a world map and you select the city from the list?

(can someone recommend me other games in this series I really enjoy it)

    • LightZero

There is no overworld. It’s closer to Graces and Hearts than Vesperia/Abyss. Just youtube some videos to get an idea.

  • Barrit

Awesome! Day 1 purchase. I’ll purchase it even harder on Day 1 if we get a sweet CE this time around.

  • Ladius

It’s really interesting to notice the short delay between the announcement and the first English footage, compared to Graces f’s year-long hiatus.

They are finally starting to plan ahead for Tales localization, and that could hopefully mean more efficient and speedy US and PAL versions for the future entries, provided Xillia’s sales are high enough to justify them.

  • day 1

  • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

Finally. Bamco, you will get my money here again.^_^ For at least two coppies here.

……see the screen with English text.*manly tears*

  • Nitraion

Wish they come on December lol……
so we can get xillia 2 in 2013 :P

    • MrTyrant

Yeah, before the end of the world lol

  • These games take way too to localize to Europe! We just got Graces F but I rather Xillia. I’ll import it (if it’s good) like with BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger.

  • rinalicat

  • Crimson_Cloud

My copy of Graces F arrived last week, and even though I’m satisfied with it, I so want Xillia more then anything. I don’t know, I just adore the look of all the designs from the characters. ^^

    • Budgiecat

      I heard Graces F is better…

      • agumike (けんじ)

It was better, but Xillia was no slouch. You will be very glad you played the game, even if the battles were too easy

  • Demeanor

GOD YES!!! Even though I own both Graces F and Xillia JP version I still bought ToGf again and so will I do with Xillia!!! The battle system is seriously awesome! And there’s Mira/Milla in it! <333333  I hope Teepo's voice is more bearable this time lol.
Wishlist: please at LEAST give us a second Hi Ougi for everyone! T_T never seen a game with so few Hi Ougis (although there are a crapton of incredible link artes).
Also, the main character choice will encourage a second playthru and should make getting the plat easier, I hope (it'll be long tho).

@SupaPhly:disqus : the world is Graces-style, huge dungeonish maps (forests, deserts, caves) that link places together, and you can fast travel on the 2D world map. Imho there are a bit too many world map sections (like filler content to get from one place to the next) but the battle system is so awesome I found myself grinding just to pummel more mobs with link artes XD

If you want other awesome Tales games (but few have been localized, and also they're spread out on 1 million different platforms) check out the Tales of Phantasia remake + Narikiri Dungeon X, Tales of Vesperia, Tales of Graces F, Tales of Eternia, Tales of Destiny (original eng ps1 or jp ps2 awesome remake), Tales of Destiny 2, Tales of the Abyss. Other tales I haven't played: Symphonia, Hearts, Legendia, Rebirth, Innocence R.

  • frokenok3

So excited about this! I got myself Graces F US Ver & Special Day 1 so seeing English screenshots already might mean that Q1 release might be very possible! Keep them coming Namco! I’m gonna buy any limited/collectors/day 1 you have for Tales! :D

  • Learii

all talles games i always get on day 1 <3

  • Budgiecat

    So many happy people here…

  • It’s…GLORIOUS *.*

    Day one for me, obviously.

  • Karin Shita

I could barely read the subtitles. o_o LOL

    • agumike (けんじ)

prevents it from interfering too much during the cutscenes themselves. it was a good touch. course, you can turn them off too

  • margherita mastropaolo

i’m gonna gat this on day one

  • Sperium3000

I am -so- happy this game is coming to the west. I’m probably getting Ni No Kuni first, but this is a very close second.

  • KingGunblader

Woo! Good to see that the localization is making progress. Can’t wait to play this!

  • Bandai is really pushing out tales now thanks god.

    • neocatzon

*Namco Bandai. Tales of series is inseparable to Namco

      • Brandon001

not that serious to warrant a correction

        • neocatzon

Correction needed because historically Tales of series published by Namco since the first game and not Bandai. Even if someone forget the Namdai merger, Tales of IP still related to Namco.

  • Alphabet Soup

It’s awesome that they are releasing screenshots so soon.  CanNOT wait to play this game!

  • Alexander Aubert

    day one for any tales

  • Brandon001

anticipating, really hope Xillia 2 comes here too, honestly looking foward to it more than Original Xillia (but thats bc ive been following the news often here)

  • Elemiel

This makes me want to punch babies! (In a nonlethal way) ^o^

  • ZidanReign

And My pants jizzed on me.

  • Spirit Macardi

Just tell me who the voice actors for the game will be… Outside of Wendee Lee, since she’s in friggin’ everything.

    • Anesia Hunter

Along with Johnny Yong Bosch, Yuri Lowenthal and Laura Bailey. Also all I listed along with Wendee Lee have all done voice acting in various tales games already.

      • Elemiel

        *responded to the wrong person*
But they’re definitely not going to let those four voice any major characters for a while. At the most, they’ll get minor roles like how Wendee played Asbel as a kid and Julie Ann Taylor (Karol from Vesperia) played kid Richard.
I wish they could use Texas VAs though.

        • Spirit Macardi

Umm… Kid Asbel was voiced by Kate Higgins (even used the same voice she does for Tails in Sonic), and kid Richard was voiced by Wendee Lee.

      • Spirit Macardi

Yuri Lowenthal has only been in one game, Johnny has been in two games (three if you count the Phantasia anime), and Laura’s been in three.

Still not as bad as Wendee, who has five Tales credits.

      • LustEnvy

         Missed Steve Blum.

        • Spirit Macardi

Sadly he’s never been in a Tales game… But dammit he should be!

      • Masengan

Yes, but at least they are great at what they do so I don’t mind.

  • Mildra

No doubt there’ll be an extensive amount of scrutiny on the dub cast (since some gamers didn’t get the message about counting their blessings), I would like to remind my fellow gamers that there is a volume switch located on their televisions.

  • It is a happy day when I see the progress of localization for a Tales game =^_^=

  • *sniffle* It’s… It’s so beautiful.

  • Akarnage

    HELL. YES.

This reminds me of why I’m not hyped for Xillia 2. I mean, look at this game. The colors are vibrant and the art direction is gorgeous.

When Graces came along I couldn’t get properly hyped because Xillia was so distracting, but now all of my hype is on this game, ToX2 can take it’s time, or just don’t come altogether.

  • This game. I want it!
