Is that guy in white Aokiji from Film Z? If they cover the new movie, might as well cover Strong World. Amazing.

    • Dexward

      Yup. Definitely Aokiji.

    • Highasthesky

It is him but, i doubt it’s from film Z. Here a picture of him after the time-skip

      • ragingmerifes

Then I think it’s him in between the movie.

        • Highasthesky

Possible….if that is the case then film Z Nami DLC is a must. I mean have you seen the outfit >.>

          • ragingmerifes

Her outifit is cool, but Robin’s is just… overloaded with sexy.

          • Highasthesky

All right, i’ll do you one better. CHOPPER!!….anyone…ya’know..Chopper…you win.

          • Göran Isacson

Chopper? Please. Have you guys SEEN Usopp’s mighty man-stache? Now THAT is a DLC to drool over :)

      • drexxia

i’ve read manga up to latest chapter and i don’t remember seeing aokiji after the time skip, did i miss something?

        • Highasthesky

Can’t tell ya, I just found this picture on the one piece wiki with the caption “Kuzan after the timeskip.” so it could just be a anime thing or one piece wiki has it’s head up it’s ass *Shrug*

        • British_Otaku

No you haven’t missed anything, it is typical for One Piece games (and movies) to feature content that the anime and manga hasn’t gotten around to showing yet.

This is actually the second game to try showing the character after the timeskip early. The first being Romance Dawn on the PSP.

    • komiko12

They should cover Strong World seeing it is part of the canon storyline, :D

  • AkuLord3

Ahh Sky Island…the bland arc :P. Hope they do the Thriller Bark Arc :3

Not just Halloween Town, but also Davy Back Fight! We need Afro Luffy!

Here’s hopin’ they sort out the frame rate issues that plagued the first one. Getting this for Vita as playing PW on the go will most likely be a blast. Glad to see some of the biggest Japanese studios/publishers supporting Vita. Can’t wait for the first direct-feed shots of DOA5+ either, I liked what I saw so far.

  • Tales_of_Master

“The beat ‘em up game covers the New World chapter and the Sky Island chapter.”
Wait, so it’s not going to include the pre-time skip stuff ? That’s lazy and random. Why jump from Skypia to the New World ? Just to include more content to justify a new game this early ? This should be the definitive Pirate Warriors game. Unless the game covers all of the pre-time skip, with Skypia and Thriller Bark included, and the Fishmen Island arc I’m not getting it. Namco Bandai should demand more from Tecmo Koei.

    • http://www.siliconera.com Spencer

It may include more content. Namco Bandai added the Thriller Bark arcs and so forth to Romance Dawn after the game was announced. However, the press release from Namco Bandai Japan only mentions OP:PW2 is set after the time skip with the New World and Sky Island chapters.

    • http://s1.zetaboards.com/Espada_of_Alexandria/index/ konpon568

From what I understood in a previous article from somewhere else, we’ll be getting the Skypeia and some of the arcs after the timeskip, which are suppose to be the Fishman Island Arc and the current one. I think the current arc is wrapping up just in time, for when before this game gets released.

  • RedShadoww

Since there isn’t much material to cover after the timeskip, I hope they’ll also cover all or some of the movies. Though I’m a little disappointed it’s another musou-type game. Kind of wanted either a more open world type game (would be great for a series like one piece) or a fighting type game like the storm or budokai series. Guess Namco just doesn’t wanna take any risks.

  • Roxas2012

Sky Island is probably my favorite arc, glad to see it here.

  • HassanJamal

I am so getting the vita version :D One Piece+Beat em up+On the go= Mega win!
I’ll only buy ps3 version if it has cross buy.

  • cameron forsyth

i hope they continue to expand the character library, i felt the first one was small when you consider how many characters there are in one piece.

  • Göran Isacson

Playable… Enel? So they’re going to have us PLAY Enel when he goes around one-shotting everyone? Because I could get down with that. As would I be down with playing as HIpster Hobo Aokiji.

  • Kuro

Oh man. Sweet deal. I’ll totally import this. Unless they announce it for the US. Some more Vita love.

  • XYZ_JolteonZ980

Gross, why would anyone want to play as Enel, one of the worst arcs in the One Piece story line.

  • http://dannscheid.tumblr.com/ Daniel Scheid

I’m really hoping Thriller Bark is in this. I want to around shoving Zombies back into the ground.

  • twuan

I think they should make one piece into an rpg, similar to skyrim .Also I think it would be cool to get new members and create your own character.

  • Chris Yuen

If we can play as Enel, he better have his awesome jaw-dropped face as his character intro.

  • Gekko_Amario

If eneru if playable in this game… I’m going to lose it, in so many ways. beware internet’s, eneru is coming :D (The Sky Lord Has spoken, Volt-Bolt) Volt-Bolt insted of EL THOR.
