Wizardry iOS Game From Namco Bandai Gets Its First Trailer

Namco Bandai are set to publish a Wizardry social game for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Titled Wizardry: The Demon Tower Wars, the game is a free-to-play social RPG and will generate revenue through item payments. Recently, Namco shared the game’s first trailer, which you can watch below:



Wizardry: The Demon Tower Wars is headed to Japan in January. A western release hasn’t been announced yet.

    Like it or not, this is where computer RPGs began.

    Even JRPGs. Dragon Quest was inspired by the original Wizardry and Ultima games. Yuji Horii wanted to make RPGs that were playable by “mere mortals.”

    A “social wizardry” game is an interesting idea. I hope we get it over here. More importantly, I hope we see an Android port, as a Nexus 7 is infinitely more affordable than an iPad Mini.

    • Oh boy, Ultima surely brings me back, especially Underworld.
      Imagine if someone planned on re-releasing Wizardry 4.
