New LovePlus Creators Open Teaser Site With New Heroines

By Spencer . February 6, 2013 . 1:09am

New LovePlus producer Akira Uchida and LovePlus artist Mino Taro have a new project in the pipeline. A teaser site says the two LovePlus creators bring new heroines to life in early spring.

Is the LovePlus team making a new dating sim? If so what platform(s) will the game be on? The teaser site is pretty empty at the moment with most of the heroines hidden as silhouettes.

please where ever it is, bring it to US

    • RablaAndrews

      Yeah… don’t see that happening…

      • Zhizn Snake

I have to be honest that I’m not surprised about Love Plus not being brought over yet… I guess I really don’t think that the girls in this
game would be appealing to most people outside of Japan and aren’t
already fans of Japanese games or anime or culture in particular. It just kind of makes sense to me why they aren’t being localized, much like with dating sims.

But maybe they could use the same formula of these games and make one for international audiences, maybe.
Normally I’m against games that are made differently for each region,
and I know most people here who want this game would cry foul if this
happened, but it just seems like a realistic option that the love plus
        creators might take.

Meh. After playing the one on the DS I really wanted the 3DS version to come to the states, but it would never happen. If mothers found out their children could date virtual ladies it would probably be considered taboo.

      • Himiko

But Mangagamer bring over date sims all the time. Considering Persona and various other games have it, it’s just needs the correct ESRB rating. I don’t think this is taboo, but it just won’t sell.

        • ForteWily

Mangagamer is not Konami, they are small… considering the kind of titles that they get unless there is an outside interest in the genre, I doubt that they would get noticed outside of those within it’s niche.
Persona itself is marketed as an RPG and down play the fact that it as a dating sim element to it. A least in the US….

Reality is that the genre is treated as a second class kind of game. With elements that are culturally at odds with those in the US. I don’t consider it as a taboo matter, but that is generally how dating sims are treated, despite quite a few of them bucking questionable elements.

          • Himiko

Well, clashing culturally as you said. Nothing is questionable. :p

But yeah, probably won’t even consider it.

  • Detrimont

is it just me, or does the art look like Nisekoi?

    • raitouniverse

      I don’t believe it does.

  • I prefered Love plus design.

I think we all do but this isn’t bad I guess. I’ll miss nene though.

  • Stranger On The Road

NewLovePlus+? Hopefully for the Vita, I want the NewLovePlus, but I am not importing a Japanese 3DS just to play it

That being said, even though the news link is under the LovePlus+ section of the site, the fact that the teaser has 6 girls -assumption- might rule out a LovePlus entry.

    • raitouniverse

Games have only been on the DS/3DS so far (and I guess an iPhone app), granted the Vita should be able to do what the 3DS was pulling off with the camera and AR, it would seem odd to move the series when they already have an install base of sorts.

If anything, I see this going to the iOS before it going to the Vita.

  • raitouniverse

This spring? Me thinks it’s some online/ios thing, which I really hope it isn’t.

    • benhofb

Same here. Seems like all new projects these days are for iOS… -_-

  • Angel wing

    Vita ?
    For the sake of importing.
No way Ima gonna buy a new Jp 3DS just for this

  • FitzpatrickPhillips

    A new generation has begun

  • Kyosuke Yoshino

I really hope it’s for a region-free console, like the Vita.

  • Rolling Guy

Another to add to the list of games, never seeing an English release.

  • Not fond of the artstyle.

  • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

Liking the art here.^_^ While it seems, the type of girl will be a bit cliche there.
The black hair girl would probably be a model student while the yellow haired would be tsundere type?

    • The black-haired girl is a manager of some sort (and follows the classic ‘sports club manager’ design, even down to the tea kettle), while the blond haired girl is listed as being a little sister. Whatever is coming is going to be much less realistic than Love Plus.

The blond is mostly likely going to be a tsundere tombay, but as far as cliches go, everything has been done before. Even if they had done something completely new to you, I’m sure others would complain about being tired of seeing it.

      • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

Nonono. I am not complaining here. I always like seeing these type of girls. Even though they are cliched, they can still add more flavour inside to provide more identity for the character here.^_^
Who knows, they may be my potential fav waifu? lolololol.^_^

  • benhofb

  • Himiko

Blonde is cute. She is mine!

  • The site contains some hidden hints. The left girl is labeled as “Manager” and the right one is labeled as “Imouto (younger sister)”.

  • Dat blonde. From her look you just know she’s a tsundere lol. The dark haired twin-tails to the far left you ask? She may look nice and innocent, but look at her eyes and how she’s looking at you, she’s a yanderee lol. Hey, they never said what kind of love lol =P

I’ll take the twin-tails if you don’t want her. (Thinks to self) “Yeah that should keep them away from her” =^_^=

  • brian

    Damn you, Konami.

  • Vita pls.

We Vita owners already have things like Photokano, but a more comprehensive dating sim like the Love Plus games would be great. To be honest, after the success of Love Plus, I was hoping other companies would make deeper dating sims, but alas.

That said… this is probably just going to be something for smartphones.

    • puchinri

It is kind of surprising to me that other companies haven’t tried for something similar. Clearly there’s a substantial market for it.

  • puchinri

Huh. Cute designs. I wonder what it’ll be like.
Also, still hoping for a version of Love Plus aimed at the ladies (or maybe of this game instead).
