By Ishaan . February 9, 2013 . 1:00pm

Snow Miku is getting a new Nendoroid figurine. She’ll be available at the WonFes 2013 event in Japan on February 10th and was also available at the Sapporo Snow Festival on the 9th.

This Miku design was actually created by a fan. Snow Miku designs were submitted by fans to the piapro website and a winner was chosen by viewers during a NicoNico Live broadcast.

For those that aren’t able to attend the WonFes event, there will be a week of online orders for the figurine between February 10th and 18th.  It will be manufactured to order for delivery in June.

  • Bestest Miku Nendoroid ever. It looks so classy and stunningly beautiful~

    • Kevadu

Agreed. I already have a couple Miku Nendoroids but there’s no way I can pass on this one.

      • Kai2591

        Me too!

    • Kai2591

  • Edzo

i still dont get nendodroids. they look really dumb

    • Himiko

      Lol that’s stupid.

    • almostautumn

      What an unnecessary comment…

      • Edzo

sorry. i dont get them and they are the best thing ever and i want to buy this one in particular as thats what the post is about

      • M’iau M’iaut

Something you seem to know a lot about. Warned again.

        • Edzo

sorry. i dont get their appeal. the end

        • almostautumn

          …siliconera hates me?!

          • M’iau M’iaut

No, but all of our posters really do need to consider how they are saying things. There is just too much garbage going on. It’s especially frustrating when a poster who is usually quite willing to explain the ‘whys’ of their thinking chooses to join the one-liner snark brigade. Folks may not always agree with what you say, but at least they can have a conversation.

          • almostautumn

            I will work on this.

I will not fail you, Siliconera!

    • Asclepius

cuteness overload and interchangeable parts.. some people might like to make their own imaginative scenario with those parts

if you think it’s pointless, it’s basically just a hobby, like gunplas

    • fearlubu

well it sounds like you just dont like them. if you dont like them, then you probably wont ever ‘get’ them. mind you that this stuff isnt for everyone.

  • Himiko

    Shall get! super cute.

  • Suicunesol

It’s the tears that really do it for me.

    But yeah’s, that’s a really great Miku.

  • Demeanor

Absurdly cute. It will be hard enough to resist THIS, if they announce a 1/7 or 1/8 scaled fixed pose Yuki Miku 2013 then I will no doubt sacrifice my wallet to their altar. ^ ^

    • Kai2591

      Resistance is futile indeed.
and If they release a 1/8 fixed pose Yuki Miku 2013 i will DEFINITELY get that too!

      • Demeanor

Agreed, resistance is futile, I’m gonna preorder today ^ ^ she’ll have good company with Racing Miku 2011 and Miku Nendoroid v2.0

        • Kai2591

          I’ve pre-ordered it just now~
          Can’t wait for June!

  • Maia Kasoya

    I absolutely must have her!

  • Just checked the site and holy shit 2000 yen for shipping? That would mean you would be paying about 6000 yen in total which is around about £40. For SAL it’s usually 600 yen or under unless it’s a really big box which I doubt.

    • miju

Goodsmile online shop only ships with EMS so yeah the 2000 yen is the only shipping option you have. I got the Homura school uniform figma from them from last year’s wonfes and the box was a normal figma sized box and it was still around the same price for shipping.

This one’s box is pretty big for a Nendoroid though because of the gigantic display plate/stand she comes with (see attached image). More pictures here:

      • :/ I wonder why they don’t offer SAL registered. It’s cheaper and has insurances incase it’s lost in the post. Also I’m sure the weight of all these store exclusive Nendoroid are under the limit.

        • miju

EMS is still faster than registered SAL I think. It -mostly- gets rid of the complaints that the package is taking too long to reach its customers probably. But I’ve only ever used unreg SAL because it’s cheapest.

          • Well EMS is faster but the point is there are people out there who just think “do I really want to pay half the price of the nendoroid just so I can get it a week early?” Actually the majority of the people I know in the UK has this mentality, including myself who relies on unregistered SAL to avoid custom charges.

Let me quickly talk about custom charge in the UK, anything that’s over £14 will be considered custom charge however with unregistered SAL, I could avoid custom charge 90% of the time. I get unlucky however only because either the seller blatantly put their company logo on the parcel or declaration sticker.

          • miju

Yikes. In that case, I think I’ll just assume Goodsmile just does solely EMS on all their direct products for uniformity. :x I guess it’s still somewhat better than the aftermarket prices? Unless you find one cheap on Mandarake, but I think they only do EMS as well. Otherwise WF exclusives usually go for over 80 before shipping costs anyway.

          • Mandarake also does registered SAL but that really doesn’t help in avoiding customs haha. Also 500 yen service charge doesn’t really help in getting things for a reasonable price. I just preorder the nendoroid from amiami and it comes down to around £25-£27 including shipping. The only time I ever got charged for a nendoroid was when I bought a preowned steins;gate mayuri because it was well Christmas. I don’t really need to say much more :V

  • porkiewpyne

    I’m sorry, Wallet-san TT^TT

Anyway, I’m surprised that she isn’t getting that translucent hair like Sakura Miku. I’d like that even better tbh

  • tarbis

Already got my pre-order. Can’t wait for June to arrive. =D

  • noctis_nox
