Great OP… though Steins;Gate is starting to become like F/SN with all these spinoffs, etc. Though I still can’t wait to see the movie.

    • Sergio Briceño

Me too. I hope the movie fixes all the errors. Or maybe I should try the novel, perhaps the it’s not a problem of anime adaptation.

      • Wappuli

What kind of errors do you mean? if you mean errors in adaptation then it’s pretty unlikely, since the movie is original story and continuation to the series.
Also, in Steins;Gates case, the adaptation is actually pretty good in my opinion, there are only a couple of minor errors and maybe 1 larger error compared to the game.

        • Sergio Briceño

Ok then I’m talking about “This doesn’t make any sense” and “I thought you said this would fix the timeline” errors. Maybe time travelling was a really hard concept to grasp for the writers. They probably will get it right with the movie.

Edit: I would list them up for you, but it’s been years since I saw the anime and they were too many to remember right now. They are probably 25-35, 10 of them almost bad enough to make you want not to continue watching. But then there is Mayuri and her “Metaru oopa!” so you just have to finish the series :p

          • Wappuli

Oh, well I remember far less of those than adaptation errors, none of them being bad enough to affect my interest in series.
As much as I’d like to see that list of yours it’s better not, since that talk here would be too spoilerish.

Yeah, very nice OP, the blending w/ the live action Akihabara street scene is impressive :)

As w/ anything good, I too feel S;G has been milked a bit too much, drama CD, manga, novels, game spinoffs etc, not to mentioned being ported to every platform possible, iOS, PSP, PS3, Vita, etc.. even though it was a really really good VN. The only other VN that has made me feel so emotional recently is the Walking Dead (Clementine *.*;;), it’s such a burden to decide the fate of others..

So I guess this is the canon story being told from the other members’ perspective instead of Okarin’s, they actually did a bit of it w/ the 1st 3 drama CDs.. It’s expensive, but I pre-ordered the LE for Okarin’s cellphone replica :) I think this should be better than Hiyoku Renri no Darling..

      • The impression tht I got is tht LBP is going to be like CP BoS: some stories are canon, some are not. But mostly its to expand on the characters.

But problem is, most of the stuff is in Japan T_T But then again, if they want to pick it up for localization they wouldn’t have to worry abt dead consoles lol.

there was talk that they were considering bringing this to steam in english, hope that works out

  • S;G:LBP OP reminds me of the Revelation: Persona OP in terms of surrealness and overall style. Also I noticed some of the animation is reused frm the PS3 ver OP…. Still a nice OP though.

I just hope we can play this in english…

  • Very, very nice opening. I love the Steins;Gate series =^_^=

  • Sakurairo

Although it’s mentioned at the end of the video too, I just wanted to point out that the release date is April 25th, not March 25th.

  • I noticed a few reused resources in there. However it’s still a pretty nice opening. But I’m biased since I’m kinda a sucker for pretty much all of the openings the Science Adventure series has brought out.

  • The start of the song struck me with a Kashmir vibe. The video itself was very well done. Very impressive visual OP.

    • I was gonna say Creed’s My Sacrifice myself.

  • fireemblembeast

    Another amazing-as-hell opening! :D
God that was so great. Now I just need to replay it until I can hum it to myself in the shower :P
