With a full 3D world to run around in, The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Flash looks like no other game in the series. One of the new screenshots shows Rean riding a horse, which has a command to make the horse dash.

Monsters in The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Flash appear on the field and chase players if you get close. Laura, the blue haired girl facing some kind of lizard, looks unfazed and ready for battle.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Flash is slated for release this year on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

Looks very promising. I want to see if there are any major differences between the two versions. Still will import this on launch day for both Vita and PS3 :P

    • JazzyMan123

      No differences afaik so far.

  • Nesfe

I’ve completed zero no Kiseki evolution, and now midway through Ao no Kiseki in preparations for this game. The vita version shall be mine :).

  • JazzyMan123

Well, I’ve already said my piece back in the previous article so I’ll just say this:

If you guys really want to see more of LoH in the West. Buy them (especially when SC does come out).

    • Raltrios

      *ahem*

      IF SC does come out.

      • JazzyMan123

Right. Though in XSEED we trust I guess…

    • raymk

We do buy them, xseed just needs a better localization team. there’s no excuse as to why their games can’t come out faster when NISA brings over more games than they do at a faster rate.

      • Demeanor

I dooon’t think it’s that simple, please consider that the first trails sold quite poorly in the west (sigh!!! People won’t appreciate true art!!!) so the company (as in, its moneymaker side) is not really looking forward to allocate many precious resources (they’re not a very large group) for an extended period of time, we’re already extremely lucky to have FC, it was a huge, risky bet. Secondly do not forget the SIZE and complexity of Falcom games: not only the volume of text is humongous (I seem to recall that FC is like 4x FFXII, and SC is TWICE that amount), but the themes and dialog is fairly complex too, ranging from social and political happening to history and technological advancement. I don’t think Nep-nep’s dialog is comparable to a Falcom character script :P still, I’m always praying for some hero to bring more Falcom to the West, my Japanese just CAN’T tackle these games right now…

      • JazzyMan123

…are you really comparing the size of the script of stuff like Atelier and Neptunia to something as massive as script of the LoH games?

NISA also has approximately 80 employees, compared to XSEED’s 9.

        Try again.

        • Guest

My bad: That’s NIS-J. NISA has about 20. That’s still over double the number at XSEED.

Everytime I see the words “Falcom” and “Legend of Heroes” in a single sentence, it breaks my heart. </3

Don’t worry, it breaks EVERYONE heart….

      • crozz07

Yup always a heart breaker :(

Especially since they’ve made exactly 1 non-Kiseki game since 2011

  • gamerdude

    Concept art looks amazing!

    • SohoX

I want a full 1920×1080 wallpaper of the first picture on this page. Would be so awesome.

  • Ceci “Ruzuzu” Kiyomizu

  • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

Falcom game always deliver. That horsing section makes me think of Zelda though lol.^_^

Going to import PS3 version as ussual.^_^ After all, Falcom always know how to maximize one console capabilities.

    It looks really good.

  • Andar

I know I don’t usually resort to these kinds of comments, but I have to wonder if this game will have an Ultimate Collector’s Kit.

  • CirnoLakes

    Oh what I would give to play this on the PC like most Falcom games.;_;

Imagine playing that in 1080p with all of the settings turned up to max.

I feel like Sony must have stuck an exclusivity deal with Falcom. That’s what I choose to believe until someone shows me proof that Falcom don’t like the PC anymore.

    • JazzyMan123

Uh…there was no “exclusivity deal”. Falcom stopped PC development because it stopped being profitable (Zwei II isn’t selling unless they put it up on an special offer), that and they lost their PC distributor.
