Send Virtual Armor To Your Virtual Friends In Sword Art Online: Infinity Moment

By Sato . March 6, 2013 . 5:00pm

Partner characters in Sword Art Online: Infinity Moment can be customized to fit your needs by being split into offensive, defensive or supportive buffing categories.

You can select one of the three attributes – Attack Type, Defense Type and Buff Type in the middle of battle. Doing so will make your partner use skills from the corresponding type more frequently. Each heroine also has exclusive equipment for each type of fighter, which you can acquire too.

Here’s a look at some of the equipment in Sword Art Online: Infinity Moment.

By increasing relationship parameters with your partner, you can send them weapons and equipment as presents through e-mail.

You can send any kind of equipment you’d like, whether it’s a powerful item to help out in fights or matching equipment for a ‘pair look’. Check out Asuna in her fully decked out knight gear!

Sending mail can be a great way to become friends with other characters, or for scoring dates. Mail can also be used to help out others in quests.

You can respond to characters who send you invitations to go out to grind and level up. They’ll send you a thank you mail after clearing the quest. Responding and participating in these mail quests can develop new friendships. Once you make a good friend, you can also invite them out on your own adventures!

Sword Art Online: Infinity Moment will be released on March 14th on PSP

I’m still looking the limited edition of SAO IM. It’s sold out everywhere…

  • If only they did this in english…

  • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

This game looks great for SAO or .Hack fanboy here.^_^

  • riceisnice

But why are they all girls?

    • Chiupon

do you not know the anime it’s based off of?
      mediocre writing ahoyyy

      • MrSirFeatherFang

You know the anime is based off a light novel, which is like the majority of anime nowadays.
I hear the arcs after the one the anime finished are a lot better.

        • Nee Nee

          But they’re not.
          At least until Volume 10-11(Alicization)

          • MrSirFeatherFang

Wow, sounds like you read them already. Too bad it doesn’t get better until then.

        • I personally think Phantom Bullet/Mother Rosario is good/OK. But tht just me.

    • MrSirFeatherFang

      without glasses

    • Did you miss the article featuring Klein & Agil? ‘sides, there are girls into MMO IRL too….

  • MikeTxn

There needs to be a bromance option.

  • People say Xenoblade is an offline MMO (wrong in so many ways) but this is literally an offline MMO…so weird.

    • MogCakes

Xenoblade plays like an MMO. This game doesn’t look to play that way. Hell, .Hack// was set in an MMO and even that didn’t play as much like one as Xenoblade does with its quests-everywhere-lots-of-running-running-running format. FFXII had much the same problem at some points, though its world was faster to traverse.

      • There was fast travel and minimal load times in Xenoblade. The world was extremely fast to traverse. And you make it sound like giant world is a bad thing. How dare an RPG have a massive world to explore and stuff to do!? I get lots of the quest were meaningless but unlike most RPGs they finished automatically. You didn’t have to go back and talk to people to complete the fetch quests or kill x number of y enemies. That alone seperates it from most RPGs in general.

        • MogCakes

I didn’t say Xenoblade and FFXII being that way is a terrible thing (though the questing can get tiring), just that they play way more like an MMO than SAO. Don’t confuse my point with dislike for it, ’cause I’m quite fine with games like Xenoblade. Its method of finishing quests isn’t all that revolutionary, it just takes out the backtracking. It’s different from most standard RPG’s yeah, but we’re talking about how much of an MMO it resembles here, which it very much does. Try not to be so quick to defend something that wasn’t being attacked.

  • The more I see posts on this game; The more I start to want Rosetta Stone.

  • Raze

    Who’s that black haired girl??

    • MrSirFeatherFang

The one on the left? I think she’s the sister/cousin to Kirito. Created for the sole purpose of delicious doujins. If not I have no clue :(
I haven’t read or watch SAO

      • Raze

Nah…Kirito’s sister is the one with blonde hair…

        • MrSirFeatherFang

looks like I need new glasses…

    • PoweredByHentai

      Shion, probably.

Sinon. Damn I screwed up that name.

    • NanaMiku

She’s Sinon. She’s from the arc after the anime.

  • MogCakes

This honestly just makes me miss the .Hack// games more. Still, .Hack// didn’t have alternate armor sprites beyond palette swaps (barring Haseo’s class upgrades). The attack suits look nice. Except Asuna’s open front crotch.

  • do you think that this game will be translated to english?? :/

    • Renaldi Saputra

      localized? mostly nope..
      get an english patch?? maybe

  • My 1st thought when I saw some of the outfit is Battle Panties armour lol. ^.^;

  • Raltrios

Oh hey! They’re standing in my order of preference, left-to-right. Well, not sure where I stand on Liz and Silica, though.

  • Alex DC Webbs

    Damn mixed feeling on this.
The gameplay seems up my alley but I hate the series and don’t really want to support it but then again a bijilion people will probably buy it anyway so it shouldn’t matter. However I do like to support good games regardless of whether they are based off a crap series or not.

Will the story be slightly different in this game to SAO?

Don’t intend to troll bait but I am one of the few people that just couldn’t like SAO so if you loved it to the point you think it has no flaws we can never see eye to eye so don’t drop a comment saying how great it is.
