Mugen Souls Z Has A Few Familiar Faces From The Neptunia Series

By Spencer . March 25, 2013 . 1:19am

Mugen Souls Z has an enhanced character customization system. On top of picking classes like soldier, wizard, gunner or fighter for your minions you can also redesign how they look. Compile Heart used this feature to add crossover content from the Neptunia series. The limited edition includes avatars for Neptune, Noire, and Blanc. You can also get a Nepgear avatar if you reserve the game.

Mugen Souls Z is slated for release for PlayStation 3 on April 25.

this reminds me, i need to beat the first one still.
i’ll be getting this one for sure though, the first one was pretty fun to play

Same here. Except I need to aim for a true ending AND a platinum trophy. It is fun, but expect grinding. And quite a bit of it.

      • Draparde

oh yeah X_x i was aiming for the true end. i think that’s what had me take a break. trying to get the percentage for each of her forms :/

loved the character creation and outfits ect though.

i always found it funny how Shirogane 3D model was as skinny as a toothpick, yet his portrait was ripped. i wonder if they’ll fix that somewhat.. (i doubt it lol )

Nice to see customized characters looks like characters from Neptunia series in this game. This sounds like it’s next Hyperdimension Neptunia game:)

That was my one quirk about Mugen Souls’ character creation; the lack of customization. Sure you got to choose a hairstyle, face, and voice (JP track only) but it was so limited combined with the blandness of the clothing options (which weren’t even available on creation) just made it to be a useless option that you used moreso for the character’s stats and abilities rather than looking good in battle. At least now with Mugen Souls Z this problem is fixed. I just hope that they don’t use a single body base for all the classes again and actually have SOME noticeable variety. I mean c’mon; Android has the same body-type as a knight? IDTS

That was one of my major complaints as well, which is on a fairly long list of good ideas with awful execution.

    Preorder and LE only…

  • Koji Kabuto

    ¿No Vert? That´s really dissapointing…

    • Guest

Is even weirder considering Vert was DLC in the last game.

    • Koine Nacu

Actually, Vert is part of the reserve bundle with Nepgear. Don’t know why it wasn’t mentioned in the article…

  • Mr_SP

Considering that Neptunia Victory had Shampuru monsters in it, this isn’t nearly as surprising as you might think.

  • kaizin

hmm their using neptunes original outfit thought they would use the victory one but all in all cant wait to get this and if the customization is better double awesomeness

  • Linhua

… LOL was that Blanc they gave a chest upgrade…?

… they just broke the law.

… anyway… I feel like they’ve gone out of their way to taunt me… turning Noire all Neko on me like that… = =;; … and it almost worked.
