    I am over these games…

  • HerosLight

Nice, they turned it into a google-map-type viewing thing.

The music in the website is nice too. Not sure if thats the actual battle theme that plays later on.

  • Herok♞

I wonder when more game play videos will be shown or if they are keeping most things a surprise for when we finally get the game

    • Solomon_Kano

E3 would be a pretty safe bet.

    • More than likely E3 since FFXIII-2 did well overseas

  • Kotorin

    Staring across this barren wastedland

    • SunOatBoatMatadorQuattro

I am Lightning, the rain transformed.

  • Darn, thought this was canceled

  • Justin Lock

So excited! I’ve been looking forward to this game since I finished XIII-2. :3

  • ragingmerifes

I saw some other pictures, of a closed cave-like place, and I must say it reminds me of Rabanastre and the Eastersand.

    • SMT

for me FFXII is awesome i love it, the ancient ruins and desert are so good.
      i don’t like FFXIII ruins or FFXIII-2 and i don’t think for LR:FFXIII.

  • darkfox1

Completely forgot about this game not even going to lie.

  • Solomon_Kano

Well, I’m certainly enjoying the music playing at the site. This remix of Blinded by the Light is pretty sick.

But damn, this game keeps slipping my mind.

    • Anime10121

Thats because Square barely ever talks about it. This is the first big Final Fantasy I’ve ever seen release with such a small amount of information out there. We are less than half a year away from release, and all we’ve got is an Alpha trailer, and a few screens, and confirmation of a couple returning characters (Noel and Hope) along with the realization that a new chick called Lumina is causing trouble. Not really a lot to keep in mind.

Im hoping E3 comes with an explosion of the infos though! i really wanna know more, and whether Liam’s epic Caius shall return!

      • Solomon_Kano

Yea, we’re sure to get a bunch of info at E3. Or see some gameplay, at the very least. I hope they don’t focus on it though, since I’m much more interested in seeing what new games they’ve got.

        • Anime10121

I’m just hoping for infos on anything NOT Final Fantasy XIV (looks great, just not getting it, and besides, in its 3 years, its had more than enough details revealed), or Eidos titles.

Even though Square is promising a “big” E3, I honestly dont expect much other than

          FF XIV ARR

FFvsXIII (most likely their “new” Final Fantasy for next gen)

From their Eidos side (Square Europe)

          Murdered: Soul Suspect

          Thief 4

I mean when you look at it, that’s already a large amount of games, though nothing really “new”. Out of the list, the only ones I’m really looking forward to seeing at E3 are Versus and Lightning Returns, as I’m not interested in either of the two Eidos titles, and they are the only two games where new information is actually needed.

          • Solomon_Kano

I don’t see them devoting much time to XIV. It’s got its own devblog and they regularly give out updates. The beta’s also ongoing, so anything people could want to hear about it, they won’t need E3 for.

Yea, I don’t expect them to show much more than what you’ve listed. Actually, I do expect one more next-gen game from their Japanese side, but that’s it. I mean, they’ve got a pretty packed schedule.

But hey, I just wanna see Versus/whatever it’s called now and get my FFX/2 release date anyway, so that’s cool with me.

  • Gilgamesh2025

    Deserts are always good! :P

  • gRiMmYdArK13

I think of Final Fantasy X’s Bikanel desert.

    • Chiupon

I’ve been doing a FFX playthrough and just got out of the bikanel desert and my soul is crying because i hate videogame deserts

inb4 lightning gets lost in it

      • LustEnvy

        Star Ocean 4’s desert wasn’t bad. :)

The deserts I can’t forget is Breath of Fire III’s, and Disc 2 on Xenogears. DEM DESERTS!

  • eilegz

    uncharted 3 desert

    • SunOatBoatMatadorQuattro

As if we didn’t have enough Uncharted with that new game about Lara Croft.

      • eilegz

but there was no desert there :D

        • SunOatBoatMatadorQuattro

And that’s why Square decided to take the desert for FF13-3. They already took the other stuff for Tomb Raider.

  • Göran Isacson

Huh. Site wouldn’t start up for some weird reason, took me double-clicking to get it to open and evne then it… wasn’t that much new material.

  • MitsuiLiam

These areas look dead boring.. Sorry.. I had to

  • Solace Shimizu

Make Versus XIII after this and you’ll be out of the red.

  • You know what this map needs?

  • Ni

I’m loving the Blinded by light remix.
While i was hyped for this (i love Lightning) so much things happened in my life and a lot of new games came out that i just forgot about LR till now, well… SE marketing for this isn’t really helping either. SE probably isn’t especting too much from this game because theirs a huge lack of marketing for it

  • hunterrnl

Its funny. This is the first Final Fantasy that i am not going too buy. While i am going for FFXIV day 1.

Hopefully you can play the game with gaikai on the PS4 for 25 Euro`s.

  • whatinthewolrd

Like the deserts miss the rain…
