Take A Peek At Escha Synthesizing In Atelier Escha & Logy

By Ishaan . May 31, 2013 . 2:00pm

Gust have shared a brief video for Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusky Sky, that shows Escha trying her hand at alchemy. Watch it below:

Atelier Escha & Logy features a familiar alchemy system with new additions like an element system that can change the outcome of synthesis. Ingredients now have elemental attributes that can result in different skills used for synthesizing.

Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusky Sky will be available for PlayStation 3 in Japan on June 27th.

Looks like the meta game for alchemy has been revamped. I love it. Hopefully we get a localized version.

    • Downside to the revamped alchemy system is it means I’m going to have to spend hours re-translating all my system notes I saved from Ayesha since there’s no way I’m waiting for a localization.

Hopefully the new system doesn’t change the actual property tags all that much, I still have all those saved.

      • SpecDotSign

Exactly what I was thinking. lol. It seems like choosing between an MP + 10 with no bonus and an MP + 3 with Poison, Sleep, and Lightning power is no longer a no brainer. >_<

    • りんごタルト@エスカのアトリエ

The alchemy system is the main part of the game, not the battle system.

      • SpecDotSign

        Yes. I know this. lol.

    • Magicks

This is to hope that KT actually remember to do some marketing for this. Or you know, let NISA do their thing and localize it like they have before the GUST buyout.

Usually my answer is “Yes, it would always be localized!”, but Ayesha’s treatment has left me questioning it…

      • SpecDotSign

They will. I think that TK didn’t see how much selling potential the series has with it’s fans. At least that’s what I hope.

      • Gust said that they were taking note of the language track export issue with Ayesha and were avoiding the licensing issues that led to them being unable to export the Japanese language track with EschaToLogy.

It will get a localization, and this time it’ll include language track as well.

      • Alexander Aubert

well, they are localizing atelier meruru plus. because of that my hopes are high

  • Kevin Lor

Not to sound creepy but her voice alone makes me want to buy the game lol too much cuteness

  • transferstudentx

should i buy the first game if i wanted to play this ?

    • Magicks

I’d say yes. The series are really good to begin with. (Although I still haven’t gotten the first one yet either; too much lint, not enough cash in wallet. Q_Q)

    • Ayesha was my first full Atelier playthrough game, but as I understand it each game is a stand-alone story for the most part, but the individual series do have some carry through (as noted by returning characters from Ayesha).

Wouldn’t hurt, it was a good game, but not necessary if you want to start here.

What I am reminded of every time there is a “synthesizing” trailer. XD

  • CrystalPulse

Alchemy system looks better than the random stuff that happened in Ayesha.

    • Ayesha wasn’t that random. The issue is the ingame tutorial were lacking :/
