It looks like we can expect to hear news of Deus Ex: The Fall soon. Eidos Montreal teased on Twitter today: “Are YOU ready for The Fall?”

Square Enix registered a trademark for Deus Ex: The Fall back in March. alongside a domain name for the same.

Perhaps we’ll learn about Deus Ex: The Fall closer to E3?

So they’re planning to milk Deus Ex, huh? These games are not supposed to be simple affairs. I feel like if they are going to go down this route, the gameplay and lore will take a turn for the worst.

For me, Deus Ex 2 was a prime example of trying to capitalize on the success of the original without a thought on how to improve the series. Human Revolution HAD flaws despite the praise, as well. I hope they don’t think they can just take a break and give us another cookie cutter game.

Now I usually try not to be too negative, but ever since the transfer to Square Enix, the quality of the Eidos franchises has gone down. Yeah, publisher vs developer, but who really calls the shots?

Publisher which sucks. I feel the this game could be a little bit better is Ubisoft was the publisher. However Edios did a good job with Tomb Raider… You got to give them that. Maybe they will make this one better

Tomb Raider was developed by Crystal Dynamics. Eidos Montreal (who made Human Revolution) did work on the multiplayer in Tomb Raider, but not the single player game.

They haven’t even announced a date, as far as we know, this could just be a title that will be ready in 2015. Let’s just wait and see, and keep accusations until we have proof this will suck! That will surely be much more entertaining, anyway.

Human Revolution was almost 2 years ago…
say if the game will release next year
I would not call a sequel with 3 years gap milking

        My thoughts exactly.

  • AyaisMUsikWhore

Haven’t played the first one yet (even though I have it in my huge game case full of backloggery) but I can’t WAIT! XD

Damn it! Minato gave his life to stop the fall! You can’t just bring it back now!

After the apparent disaster that Thief 4’s development is rumoured to be, and the general approach to that game as well as some of the problems with HR, I’m warier than I perhaps should be. Hopefully they’re being careful with this one.

Also bring back melee weapons you silly gits, a stun rod would be lovely to tote around. Build it into him as an aug, maybe let us choose what weapons we’re hiding in our arms.

      Good idea! ;)

as long as i don’t have to carry tons of candy bars around to punch people again, i’ll be happy

HR was one of the most coolest games I’ve ever played.
    Can’t wait for a follow-up!
