I really miss how you could customize your characters look for the campaign, added replay for me since it was hilarious plus the multiplayer was really good

I don’t think i’m going to be getting Lost Planet 3, so far it looks really westernized

The co-op in LP2 was fun even though the story was awful. The multiplayer was just as bad too. What no Akrid hunter?

      • Skode

Actually talked a couple of mates into buying LP2 and they all loved it because of the co-op, if this retained that then it would have been a must buy for all of us. Big bosses, mechs, random reward boxes and customization – there was something for everyone with that co-op campaign.

Wait, Lost Planet 2 had a story?

  • Impossible2beat

“Lost Planet 2 Told A Sprawling Tale,” probably one of the most hilarious things I have ever read

    • Juan Andrés Valencia

So I’m not the only one? I thought that LP2 had virtually no plot.

      • Skode

Real question is did we need one?

        • Juan Andrés Valencia

We needed a plot that didn’t take itself too seriously, some interesting characters and that’s it. That’s my problem with the first 2 games, they can’t figure out they are utterly ridiculous.

          • Nicholas Perry

So what if they are ridiculous? All that matters is that they are entertaining.

  • Nicholas Perry

I am really excited for this game. I absolutely ADORE Lost Planet, both the first and the 2nd (Which I felt was undeserving of the criticism it got).

I like that this is going back to the approach of the first game and not the 2nd game.

And they are trying to make it fit realistically within the universe at least, it takes place long before the first game so naturally technology isn’t as advanced and the planet is much more harsh.

It is somewhat disappointing to see UE3 and non-third person mech control, as well playing more like Gears of war(but I hope I uses the control scheme of the previous games).

But I can overlook these things. The game seems really interesting!

    “Also ‘western’ uhh what?”

So you haven’t noticed the westernized designs, the heavier focus on story, and the lack of a co-op mode, customization and collectibles?

  • Mnstrzero00

What? How do you define western.

  • Nicholas Perry

ABSOLUTELY. If you think this is “Westernized” You really need to check your eyes and possibly other things.

You can obviously see that they are trying hard to retain the spirit of the LP universe.
