The Atelier Escha & Logy Countdown Festival is a series of videos by Gust that will be used to introduce some of the characters in anticipation of Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Skys release later this month. The first part of the series focused on Escha Malier. The next is about the handsome and versatile swordsman/alchemist, Logix Fiscario.

Similar to the Escha edition of the video series, this video will share info that has already been revealed, but director Yoshito Okamura would like to take this opportunity to summarize some of it while showing some new footage and notes.

Logy and Escha have both been assigned to help out at the development team as new officials. Unlike Escha, Logy isn’t from the area and was actually sent from a city of alchemical studies called The Center. As you advance through the story, you will understand more about Logy’s past events.

Okamura notes that this will be the first time they have both male and female protagonists for the series, so he has repeatedly adjusted the contents for Logy’s events, as he aims to get as many players possible to like him.

As a main character of the Atelier series, Gust have made Logy into a naturally acceptable protagonist who doesn’t have any feelings of discomfort around other people or negative thoughts.

Logy might not excel at using items compared to Escha, but he’ll have plenty of skills aside from alchemy, which will make his play style completely different from his female counterpart. In addition, there will be plenty of status ups you’ll be getting from bonuses that will make Logy into an excellent frontline player in combat.

His damage output from items won’t be as strong as Escha’s either, but he’ll make up for it using his item compounding Blitz feature, which will even the gap between the two characters as they level up. Also, let’s not forget about the Double Draw skill that can be used to do even more damage with items.

Okamura also hints that they’ve prepared a high-end special item that will please Atelier fans, which he hopes you’ll get to try with the Double Draw to see for yourselves.

Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky will be released in Japan on June 27th for PlayStation 3.

Sili-chan so slow not that i blame ya guys, too many gaems so little time Kappa.

  • Masa

Love the art, really beautiful and as a anime fan i really want to like these games again but i got burned out a few years back with the crafting/gathering system.

  • MrTyrant

I really love his fighting style. Tracing his own weapons, kind of like Archer or the alchemist in FMA. With this I mean how he is like a fighter and swordsman creating and summoning his own weapon with alchemist. His gloves seems special too.

That “V” sword attack reminds me to Voltes V lol

Logix is looking great ever since they first showed him, and now that I’ve seem some of his swords skills, I’m more and more hyped for the game. IMO he’s the best character Gust ever created for the series, design-wise, but that’s just me.

I like that comparison. I’m a huge fan of Archer and I couldn’t have come up with a better comparison for Logix. I’ve kept my eye on this guy as it looks like he’s going to be the deuteragonist. Very much loving what he’s got going on here!

I guess I`ll end up buying this, I just hope for more compressed dialogue. Ain`t nobody got time for all those cutscenes with all those sentences being repeated 4 times. I quite like the style otherwise, and it seems evident that this title is a step up from Ayesha.

    • Nitraion

Lol i thought you don’t like this type of game…
And don’t want to go back again ever….

      • grevlinghore

I quite specifically said a while back that my main problem was dialogue-overdose, and that I was conflicted in the question of whether or not to get Escha & Logy. Now I`m leaning towards getting it.

I’ve only played Rorona and I’m excited for this! haha I’m just waiting to get a bigger memory card for my Vita so I can download Atelier Totori and Meruru (when it comes out).

Should have made him an escort, not a main character, and have whatever adventure bullocks that would have been his storyline an optional part of Escha’s.
Though it seems to be a small number of us to seem to think this. It will be very disappointing if things start taking a turn towards having another Atelier Iris.

Hmm… let’s see if KOEI learn it’s lesson from the poor sales Ayesha have due to boycott when the time come for this to be released in US/EU I’m very curious to see if they will include dual audio this time or not.

  • Rogerrmark

No Ayesha or Kieth mention until now ):
