Spectator mode seems to be a luxury in fighting games these days.
Its strange because it used to be a standard feature with the older titles

Mortal Kombat have that as I recall

From the looks of it, It won’t be a Beat ‘em up like the first 2?
I never played them so i hope this gets localized

    • Shinra

But the first one was also a fighting game, not a Beat ‘em up.

      • Anonymous

Hmm? I only saw some random gameplay of Battleground, It looked more like a Beat ‘em up

        • Armane

Yes, but Battleground is a spin-off and was developed after the fighting game.

  • zferolie

Now, will they bring this over, or will they screw us over like the last fighter.

    • NeoStrayCat

This is an updated port of the fighter, so no, besides, they would have to have it localized, so for now, you’ll have to import it if you want to play it.

      • zferolie

I know they said the old one was coming. Even had a special edition I think. What happened? Did they get any localization done?

        • NeoStrayCat

Yes, the localization is complete, it does exist, and a certain few (most likely review copies of full game) have already been showed on their profile as such. Its just 7-Sixty is having problems releasing it for some odd reason, which has been in release limbo for what about to be 2 years if this keeps up. So yeah…>_>

          • zferolie

That is very odd that they can’t release it… I mean it’s finished… and they released the Beat em up game… so why not this? I just don’t understand.

          • NeoStrayCat

Well, its handled by a niche publisher, for one thing straight, hardly publishes anything other than this and 2 other games (by 7-S), but yeah, I dunno why they’re having the trouble to release it, when a lot of other games do. >_>

  • Musashi234

Spectator mode is new? I thought this was a Necessity in fighting games while do they make it seem like its a New Feature!?!?!?!

  • Göran Isacson

Ha ha, so maybe THIS is the game we’ll actually get instead of the original? Like, it took them so long that they decided they might as well scrap the old version and go straight for the update?

    • NeoStrayCat

Actually no, you’ll have to import this when its out, just hoping for region-free(ness) and not a P4A fiasco.
