I refuse to let this game by, even though this game will not be released in the U.S i will import from Europe.

”Hades… His eyes are so beautiful!” Lol
Ok I watched the show and I know where and why he says that, but to those who never watched the show that line will look pretty awkward. XD

Even in context I laughed a lot. I guess Seiya spent some of his free time with the Piscis Gold Saint.

Hey! I’m a pisces too… It’s hard for a pisces as a kid when you read the manga and hear what other gold saints have to say about the pisces saint, you end up liking the character even before meeting him and when you finally do O_O Man, so much for the sanctuary’s last line of defense…

I know, I thought the trailer having that line was kinda funny too, that’s the only thing on Seiya’s mind when the whole world’s fate was hanging in balance? Since no one expects the King of the Underworld to be so serene and beautiful, w/ Snake’s voice too (well it’s Saint Seiya, very few people weren’t beautiful :) They could’ve found another better line, but honestly the real Hades only made a short appearance at the end, especially in the rushed Elysium OVA.. Hope they have more Marine Generals and Specters, not DLCs.. and concentrate on the later arcs rather than Sanctuary story.

      • Crimson_Cloud

The whole Hades chapters were like on fast forward. It had good set pieces but some scenes and fights were really rushed. No sense of adventure like in old Saiya. At least, thats my opinion. I demand Kanon vs Radamanthys’s battle extended, damn it!

And I’m in minority here but I really… REALLY liked The Lost Canvas. All Gold Saints were epic, especially love Degel and Kardia. I’m hoping for game based on TLC in similar fashion like these ps3 and ps2 titles were made.

The Hades Chapter OVAs weren’t done as well as the original TV series, but yeah back then after Poseidon and Hades Sanctuary the manga was not as popular anymore.. that’s why the Hades anime wasn’t finished many years ago and instead we got the OVAs after a long hiatus..

I’m not too familiar w/ Lost Canvas or Omega at all, just the original Saint Seiya.. It’s just that the Sanctuary arc has been done in some many games since the NES days.. but Asgard or Poseidon from the original series haven’t been fleshed out in games yet.. Better yet, do a detailed 2D fighter, platformer, etc instead of 3D fighters all the time..

          • Crimson_Cloud

There is still hope. Maybe they will have a certain focus on at least one of those arcs.

The ones on the ps2 had an interesting 2.5D system, they could have just upgraded it. Still, the 3D is not that bad unlike in some other games.

Didn’t like Omega, but I highly recommend that you check The Lost Canvas manga or anime that covered half of the plot. It’s a bit more depressing and unforgiving since death comes more quickly.

Asgard is probably never going to happen since it’s not canon. But LC was actually really good; most people will tell you otherwise because people hate change but the narrative was better and the characters felt more fleshed out. Overall, I preferred all Gold Saints from LC to the original ones with the exception of maybe Saga / Kanon because they are just badass~.

Neat, another one who agrees. *high fives*

I liked the the Sanctuary chapter from Hades but the Inferno and Elysium were extremely disappointing. Even the budget appeared to be really low because the characters barely moved while fighting and there was a lot of recycling. Not to mention the most anticlimatic death scenes

          • Crimson_Cloud

Not to mention some really crappy camera angles where they would skip the punching and just switch to scene where character is sent flying across the room.

  • ReidHershel

For someone who has never played the Saint Seiya series and is interested in importing this game, how good is the series?

  • 宮野志保

why is asgard left out of every single saint seiya game =/

    • Vash bane

from what im told on forums asgard saga was anime only and was a filler.

    • Aoshi00

That’s what I thought.. I hope they would just give Asgard and Poseidon a chance instead of doing a dozen games around the Sanctuary arc.. even though some of them appear as paid DLC in mission modes from the last PS3 game.. I want to fight the God Warriors and Sea Generals.. now every game is just Sanctuary (again) w/ a new cast..

    • Juan Manuel M. Suárez

The Asgard arc isn’t canon (mind you, the whole theme of SS is based on Greek Mythology yet Asgard’s arc is about Norse mythology). It was retconned too so basically, other than for Bandai to sell you Myth Cloth figures (which btw, were awesome) they don’t really serve any purpose~.
