NIS America Will Release Dragon’s Crown In PAL Territories

By Spencer . July 12, 2013 . 12:00pm

imageBefore, Atlus games were hard to come by in Europe and Oceania, but recently NIS America stepped in to act as a distributor. NIS America picked up Etrian Odyssey IV and Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers. It appears they grabbed Dragon’s Crown too since Australia’s Classifications Board lists NIS America as the game’s publisher.

Dragon’s Crown comes out in Japan at the end of this month and on August 6 in North America. Perhaps Europe will get Dragon’s Crown this fall?

i knew it! NIS always comes through
now who’s going to pick up muramasa?

  • SirRichard

About time someone said something about this, and once again it’s nice that NISA are picking up the slack. It’s going to be a really busy Autumn…

Also EOIV seems to have just vanished, they said it was due the Summer and haven’t mentioned it since.

    • DesmaX

Probably Atlus is slacking off in porting it to PAL…

      • Like they usually do.

        • d19xx

Your avatar is so appropriate with that post…

  • landlock

    Nice one NISA! Import cancelled.

  • ivanchu77

It´s thanks to things like this that NISA is my favorite company by a long margin, love them <3

    • NISA has generated quite a bit of good will recently. They also see the value in having operations in Europe, whom I feel are the more dedicated buyers of the content they publish (says someone in NA no less).

  • Scipio

    Based NISA

  • Sentsuizan_93

OH YESSSSSS!!!!!! Thank you NIS!!! ^_^

  • Guest

    Yay! ^^

  • Gilgamesh2025

    Yay! ^.^

  • TheRealMalek

Too late already ordered it on a canadian site :p

  • chibiwall

    I love NISA <3

  • Istillduno

Bloody hell, NISA have always been really good to import from, but I never expected them to put this much into Europe.

Just take all my money goddamit.

    • artemisthemp

Don’t expect the book, US ppl get for pre ordering :P

      • Istillduno

We’ll have something they’re usually pretty good with the LEs.

        • phangtom

Pretty sure we’ve rarely ever or never gotten a LE from NIS. Unless you mean the pre-order bonuses they tend to do in with GAME or the LE they do for the US release.

          • artemisthemp

Limited Edition is never seen outside NISA store.

EU don’t get Premium Editon, closes we got was a artbook ad Zavii.

          • phangtom

Ah, I see. I thought so. But, as I was uncertain I put “rarely ever” just in case.

          • Istillduno

Well have we ever actually had a release from NISA themselves until now?

I was always under the impression someone else picked NIS’s stuff up for Europe.

          • phangtom

Yup, they have. They publish the Disgaea series (from Disgaea 2 onwards, which was previously handled by Koei), The Hyperdimension Neptunia series and some other niche RPG titles. Oh, they also used to publish the Atelier games, but now Tecmo Koei handles that.

  • riceisnice

    Wow, what a “Pal”!

    • AnimusVox

      Classic riceisnice.

  • Vesperion

    NISA – The Savoir

  • Abysswalker90

    Then…..should I cancel my pre-order? I’m getting this game for my Vita, and I use a UK account. Hmmmm…..quite a dilemma….

    • Juan Manuel M. Suárez

If you don’t mind the wait, you should cancel it because if the game gets DLCs later on you’ll be screwed~.

      • Abysswalker90

Yeah, I suppose. But how much will this Wait be…..?

  • Jontaku

Greats News. All I need now is an EU release date for MegaTen IV.

  • Linhua

… I still don’t quite understand the whole ‘Based’ thing… but WOW.

    … thank you, NISA.

  • Crimson_Cloud

Oh crap! The hell I’m gonna do now? I already pre-ordered it from US. I don’t mind the wait but maybe they won’t have that artbook. Ah, the pain…

    • transferstudentx

just cancel it this game well have ton of dlc content i am sure of it u well miss out on alot just cancel i did

      • Wappuli

He could always just buy that dlc from US-store.

        • transferstudentx

for the ps3 yes for the vita no i just assumed he preorderd the vitas

      • Crimson_Cloud

Guess thats the best option. ^^

  • Jaeger Knighty

YES! I was beginning to get worried! Thank yoooou!

  • d19xx

    Nice job NISA!

  • Cyrus

Too late, already placed the import order. >)

  • Göran Isacson

    That’ll do, NISA. That’ll do.

And now I’m imagining a Prinny in a Pig-mascot outfit getting fatherly headpats from a kind yet stoic old farmer. Because reasons.

  • JMaster3000

You know… things like this make me cry… :’)

  • ZekeFreek

    Fuck, Atlus, do your job.

    • AnimusVox

They don’t release hardly anything, if anything at all in the PAL region because they don’t have their own branch in that territory, sadly.

I’m sure it’s especially difficult considering the whole bankruptcy issue with it’s ‘owner’ Index happening right now.

      • ZekeFreek

NISA doesn’t technically have a branch there either. They manage.

        • AnimusVox

Ah, you make a fair point. I stand corrected.

  • Speedo Redempteur

HUm if they release it at the right time i won’t import , but they better start giving me a release date

  • Spirit Macardi

If NIS keeps being as awesome as they are, there’s a possibility that they may end up making Spiral Energy a reality.

  • Kai2591

    NISA is my Hero

  • 無尽合体ブランタコブスキ

    NISA, my Gods and saviours

  • PlayLife

Finally a confirmation for Europe. NIS America is doing a awesome job, funny thing is, why don’t call themselves NIS Europe? :)

  • XiaomuArisu

I could say “faith restored!” but you never lost mine to begin with.
    Good job Nisa!

  • Setsu Oh

OKAY! if atlus recognised the EPIC FKUP of late (persona 4arena) with this costly move, time to do my own stepping up: i ll preorder dragon’s crown right now.
