Okay well that sold me right away

  • Is Kanda

    +1 buyer from me!

  • urbanscholar

Hmm guess it’ll be cool to see what the VA differences are like after playing in English first.

  • http://strictlyapathy.comoj.com/ SoulArbiter

Absolutely wonderful! Can’t wait to get my hands on this title!

  • Muffum

I can’t say I expected Xseed to reveal the voice cast. I’m not too familiar with Xseed’s dubs, admittedly, but I assumed them to usually be non-union.

  • Pfantzypantz

Beautiful, always love it when they give us voice options.

Now if only they brought some Grasshopper games to PC…

  • Solomon_Kano

Of course JYB’s in here lol.

This is cool. I’m liking the English dub, but I like Mondo’s Japanese voice, so it’s nice that that’s an option.

I’m a fan of Mondo’s Japanese voice actor, Ryotaro Okiayu since Gundam Wing. Seeing him as the voice actor for the main character is why I want a dual-audio in this game.

      • Aoshi00

Yeah, Okiayu FTW :).. I’m not sure if he mentioned about Mondo on his twitter (the seiyuus always talk about frivolous stuffs lol) I was a big fan of his ever since Marmalade Boy, so gentle as Yuu :) also Mitsui in Slam Dunk..

I first heard him as Zero in Rockman X4 and Alucard in Dracula X (JPN version of Symphony of the Night). I never even realized that both characters have the same actor.

That was way back when I’m still had no idea about voice actor stuff.

          • Aoshi00

Yes yes! I can’t believe I didn’t mention Zero from Rockman X4 and Alucard from SotN :) I loved him in those roles. I still pride myself for having the Jpn ver of Dracula X on the PSX (no “human, a little pile of secret” :), w/ the Kojima Ayami artbook..

He really has a cool and beautiful voice, could be a tough guy too like Mondo here, Mitsui in Slam Dunk, or Byakuya in Bleach.. but yeah, Zero and Alucard were great :) Yokoyama Chisa was Maria in SotN too, and now she’s Bisuke in the new Hunter x Hunter training Gon & Killua. The Jpn SotN really had a much better dub..

    • Aoshi00

JYB, Liam O’Brien, & Wendy Lee are always great :). wonder what the rest of the Jpn cast are, Okiayu Ryoutarou as Mondo FTW. Awesome dual audio for all regions :)

      • Solomon_Kano

Yea, it’s interesting that we know more of the English cast than the Japanese. Looking forward to seeing who else lends their talents.

        • Aoshi00

yeah, they’ve been pretty tight lipped about it for some reason (usually they would announce the cast way ahead for promo), and I only saw Mondo’s seiyuu confirmed in the latest Kid interview.. can’t wait to find out the rest.

So glad we’re getting dual audio and all the pre-order bonus DLC & soundtrack.. We actually have it better w/ a hardcover artbook. The Jpn PS3 ver has the digital PlayView artbook & OST, while the 360 ver has a physical soundtrack but no digital artbook, so we’re getting the best of both.

          • Solomon_Kano

Heh. It’s nice to get a better bonus than Japan themselves every once in a while.

          • Aoshi00

value-wise, I think we always have the edge :) Like KH 1.5, $40 w/ dynamic theme and again an artbook. Jpn gets good bonus, but at the price of a hefty premium usually.. I would’ve sacrificed the artbook if the US ver didn’t have dual audio lol..

          • Solomon_Kano

True, true. We always win out on price.

  • z_merquise

That’s an amazing list of voice cast. Both the English and Japanese voice acting are surely going to be so good.

  • TheDarkEmpress

    Best game

  • Kai2591

    This changes everything.
    hooray!

But wait: Jap audio in an Xseed game? That’s new, is it?

  • Sentsuizan_93

To be fair, this was confirmed ages ago by Deep Silver in the EU version via Twitter:

Still, pretty good to see this happen.

  • eilegz

excelent news, hopefully this game its gameplay its better and improved, over no more heroes and lollipop chainsaw.

both lacked in the gameplay department.

  • artemisthemp

I don’t see Dead Silver and they release it in EU

  • SpectralRaiden

Patrick, Johnny, Liam, Travis, and Wendee–that line-up with them alone is stella so far; Never heard of the rest of them though (if someone could enlighten me):-/ Half expected for Nolan North to be in there somewhere Lol

  • Alestaos
