By Spencer . August 14, 2013 . 3:02pm

Namco Bandai set November 26 as the release date for Saint Seiya: Brave Soldiers, a fighting game with the Knights of the Zodiac characters. Saint Seiya: Brave Soldiers will be released as a retail game in Latin America, Brazil, and Mexico. The game will also be available in Canada and the USA as a PSN download.

As a bonus, a code to add Gold Saint Aries Shion will be included with launch copies for the retail version. Here’s Shion using Stardust Revolution, one of the super moves in Saint Seiya: Brave Soldiers.

      What the fuck is that?

  • Pdugna

This game goes through all of Saint Seiya correct? if so might actually try playing this instead of watching the show first.

    • Doesn’t hurt that this is legit the only way to get the whole story in English. Neither the manga nor the anime are available all the way through over here.

      • Lynx

I’m pretty sure I’ve got the all of the manga in English. At least, the original. We, however, did not get Episode G, Lost Canvas and Next Dimension in English.

      • AriesWarlock

Not the only way. You can watch the anime subbed in sites like gogoanime

        • Only LEGITIMATE way, then.

    • Aoshi00

The only thing is most of the voice actors have been changed (some retired, some passed away, or replaced) except a handful of Gold saints But ifyou haven’t watched the original anime before you might not mind. The original veteran cast was much better and familiar to long time fans, like David hayter’s snake..

Argh, want the gold Shion and retail copy, they need to have surplice one too.. But trying hard to reign in spending and save :(

      • Vash bane

I hear ya on the shion part maybe he will be dlc later down the road?

I kinda have no choice but to try understand the story though the game(dvd subs….are so so bad -_-)

      • Koibito888

I’d be willing to bet that the reason we have Gold Saint Shion is that it’s probably a skin for Surplice Shion who’s probably already in the game. It’d make so much more sense than a skin for Mu or anything.

    • AverageGamers

I’m not sure… I’m still waiting for official confirmation about the Poseidon, Asgard and/or Hades arc characters (which means season 2, 3, and concluding OVA), cause as far as I can tell this is just another Gold Saints arc which is only the first two big arcs of the show’s season 1.

      • Lynx

Poseidon IS in. He was in the PV.
So was Hades, if I’m remembering right.

As for Asgard….eh. Has that ever been in a game? Because from what I can remember, it was anime exclusive and doesn’t have the kind of material that arcs covered in both anime and manga can draw from.

        • AverageGamers

Hahaha I know about that (Poseidon Julian Solo and Hades presence in the game) XD they were announced among the first rooster list…

I was referring to their generals, you know: Siren Sorrento, Kraken Isaac, Baian, Io, Kanon, Krishna, Caja, Thethis, along with Minos, Aiacos, Rhadamantys and the likes. It’d be weird if only those two gods are present but not their generals (Seiya and friends needs to go past them first)

Yep, Asgard never once get a game treatment… it is indeed anime exclusive, but considering these designs we have are also the anime-style, I guess it’s not wrong to hope for one ;D (plus, it’s a tie in to the Poseidon arc as well),

          • Lynx

I completely forgot about Poseidon even having generals. Might be my interest in that dwindled half way through and only came back for the final bit.

I would be curious too if Hades got his generals though. Those ones I actually remember really well, more so than Poseidon’s.

        • L Lawliet

Actualy, there was a DLC for “Saint Seiya: Sanctuary Battle” adding Seiya with the Odin Cloth.

    • Koibito888

Not all, chances are it’s gonna skip the first couple arcs. You should read the manga truthfully.

    • L Lawliet

Man…don’t do that. It’s gonna be confusing.

  • AverageGamers

I’m really waiting for official confirmation about the characters from Asgard, Poseidon and Hades chapters. Poseiden and Hades themselves are confirmed, but how about their generals? I think it will not be complete if we don’t get them in this game. So far, it’s basically the whole Sanctuary saga all over again… and not saying that it’s bad cause I do love me some Gold Saints, but it needs to be more complete.

    • Koibito888

First off, they pretty much said no focus on Asgard characters because they want to stay true to the manga. I would be willing to bet though that we’ll get the 7 Marine Admirals (which probably means characters from Hades arc too) because while they straight out declined Asgard, Lost Canvas, and Omega characters, when asked specifically about the Marinas the guy goes “Oh.. Well we can only say that we have over 50 characters so please enjoy the game” when just before they so easily said no to three separate groups of characters in two separate questions lol.

  • Jesse Torres

Even though its a download, i will buy it to support the game, and cause i love saint seiya, but are we going to get aries shion? or is that going to be only for the physical copy.

  • Prieto_o101

Does anyone know if this game will be in Spanish, since it’s going to be released in Mexico?

    • zaidandzhadow

It would be a beast in sales if this manages to have spanish latin-dub, could be possible due to last SS game sales in Mexico

      • Prieto_o101

Thanks for the heads up. I’m so looking forward to this since the anime was one of my favorites when it was aired in Mexico

    • Koibito888

      Chances are only japanese dub.

    • Dario Portillo

      One can hope :D

  • D. Collins

  • At least importing a Latin American copy should be easy and affordable enough for the US players, given the distance between them and Mexico. If they want a retail copy, that is.

    • Prieto_o101

Anyone know of a reliable website to import this game? Preferably from mexico, since I speak the language

      • zaidandzhadow

        Could be Gameplanet or Gamerush

    • Koibito888

Why would you want to if you live in the US? If so you should get the american version. No one’s gonna know we like Saint Seiya over here if everyone ignores the version being given to us. The entire point of the US version is to test our fandom over here after all~

  • zaidandzhadow

    Saint Seiya *BS*

    • L Lawliet

–.–…I saw what you did there.

  • Learii

this come in nov 26th but how about one piece pirate warriors 2? is say is coming this summer but summer almost over

  • SoundMatch

OMG Day 1, hope if this sells well we might get some Lost Canvas characters or even a standalone game.

  • Brii-Nanas

I admittedly don’t know too much about the series, but my friend loves it and is super excited about the game so I will support it so she can hopefully get more in the future!

  • Koibito888

Why is Siliconera so slow with news on this? We’re a good two interviews behind and scans confirming the Marine Admirals and still no news here?
