  • Digital-Devil

These are all great but I really do like the North American cover the most. I guess less is more in this case.

  • $61526767

Japanese cover looks very good. Cannot wait to play this game.

  • urbanscholar

I dig the NA cover and the Hong Kong one looks very much like a movie poster.

  • Guest

    *edit: forget about it*

  • colorblindnightmare

This game is going to be awesome. The covers are tight.

  • NintendoPSX

I’m getting bored of all the “Stare at the screen” North American cover arts lately.

    • Pyrotek85

I don’t think it looks bad but they are starting to look awfully similar to one another.

      • NintendoPSX

That’s my point. As a whole, it’s not bad, it could be way worse. It’s just, I’m sick of even Japanese games now following this boorish trend.

    • Klarktastic

I liked the good old days you guys had those covers that stared both “at the screen” AND “off screen”

      • Juan Andrés Valencia

Oh Ico, such a great game with such an atrocious US cover.

  • MagisterXII

Cool seeing all these covers. I prefer the North American, Hong Kong, Japanese, and then European, in that order.

  • Klarktastic

Video game covers are starting to look like recent movie posters, just a full
body shot (or face shot) of the main actor/main character and there you go! Looks boring has hell…I miss the 80′s movie posters…

    • Juan Andrés Valencia

Check out the Czech Republic’s and Poland’s movie posters, those ones are hand drawn and utterly fucking insane.

  • ndjn3979

Why isn’t everyone getting the Hong Kong version?

  • DuskSharkEX

In my opinion, Hong Kong cover wins.

    • http://www.isfuturebright.com/ Silvio Carréra

I like the Hong Kong on but I’d go with the Japanese one. The European one made me puke lol

    • artemisthemp

      Hong Kong is so cool.
Wish Deep Silver had used that

  • Solomon_Kano

This is one of the few times that I actually prefer the NA cover.

    • Highasthesky

Who is that in your picture, Lupin?

      • Pinwheel

        yep. from the 2012 anime.

        • Highasthesky

There was 2012 anime? i knew he looked off to me but…THIS IS GREAT NEWS THANKS!!

          • ninjabart122

Wasn’t 2012 Lupin focused on Fujiko?

          • Solomon_Kano

Yep. In fact, its title was “Lupin the Third: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine”. So, yea, more about her.

          • AnimusVox

I saw the trailer for that from the ‘Back Lagoon: Roberta’s Blood Trail’ bluray and was REALLY interested in seeing it. I know the original/older series was good but how is the Fujiko one good?

          • Solomon_Kano

To be honest, I actually haven’t gotten around to watching it myself haha.

It’s supposed to be darker and more serious than any of the prior Lupin series though.

          • piichan

As solomon said, darker and serious but it has its moments. I liked it since I’m a big Lupin fan, i’m not sure for those who aren’t familiar with the series.

          • katamari damacy

Unlike the TV series where Lupin is a much more happy-go-lucky gentleman thief, in the 2012 version it has the darker manga version of Lupin from the original monkey punch series, who is closer to a ruthless criminal than the do-gooder version we see in the TV specials.

  • Mental

I’d say it’s a tie between Japan and Europe for me.

  • School Idol Addict

HK,NA,EU,JP, in order from most liked to least liked for me.

  • Musashi234

Awwww i want the Hong Kong Cover!!!

  • SlickRoach

Hong Kong’s cover looks so dynamic! If I were to buy the game on cover alone it’d be their version.

  • Dagobert

The Hong Kong version is nice.

  • Kelohmello

I dislike all of them except the Hong Kong one.

  • ZetaSiren

honk kong one is the best one hands down

  • mockturtle

Hong Kong is the best, followed by Japan, America, and finally Europe.

  • LustEnvy

The HK cover is too busy. There is beauty in SOME restraint.

  • Shady Shariest

Nobody cares about us European players…The cover is horrible…

  • Pietro Spina

Europe is scared by mechanical arms….

  • Jordan Coleman

I prefer the Hong Kong version.

  • piichan

does hongkong = asia? since that would be a sweet cover we can get.

  • Nuclearducky

Actually NA’s art is pretty decent, I’d say. HK is definitely up there though.

  • Demeanor

NA version takes the cake, full-body unsheathing with stars and the full moon on the back, great! I’m from EU btw.

  • Cloud_ST

NA is the best IMO, I love the space shot as the background. Europe’s is pretty solid as well.

  • fairysun

Will there be a day where we can order which box art that we want when we order a game?

    • Hound

I doubt there’s much worry about there being a box in the future. Everything’s slowly moving toward the steam model.

I suppose digital games may have interesting .gif or video “covers” as the norm once average internet connections improve. It must be a pain to get attention for a digital title when there’s such a vast swath of them released every week (Most needing a play time of 7-10 hrs.)

Maybe we’ll start seeing fancy “box” art of games on our groceries, like the ones from the atari era. haha.

  • Kolibri

Well not really fond of all of them, but HK one seems the best imo.

  • http://epiclyamazing.wordpress.com/ AzureNova

Really liking the NA and the Hong Kong box art for this one.

  • cgkt55

You forgot one box art! And it’s even the one I like most T-T

  • TheExile285

Hong Kong got the best box art.

  • The Watcher

    NA version looks classy

  • rpgmaniac

Chinese get the best box art by far.

  • Asura

They ALL have a slight case of “chin-down, eyes-up” syndrome. Geez.

  • Chee Yang

    Hong Kong wins
