Dragon Ball Z: Battle Of Z Shows Off The Ultimate Team Of Four Gokus

By Spencer . September 26, 2013 . 2:36am

Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z is a four player team based fighting game, but unlike other Dragon Ball games there are no transformations. Each form like Super Saiyan Goku and Super Saiyan God Goku are considered different characters. It’s possible to have a team with four different Gokus and this trailer shows the all Goku Squad and Frieza’s four forms in battle.

Man im gonna miss Kenji Yamamoto doing the music for the Dragon Ball Z games.

    • British_Otaku

He brought it on himself by “heavily sourcing” music from other places especially he composed for Dragon Ball Kai. I still love his work for the Budokai line up though. :/ I can’t bring myself to play the HD collection for a number of reasons, the soundtrack is probably the big one.

      • Lloyd Christmas

Yeah, I absolutely LOVED the original Budokai’s soundtrack, even if most of it was ripped off. Wish I could find that game’s MP3 collection.

        • NightzeroAX

          Google is your friend.

  • British_Otaku

I like FLOW, but it should be Kageyama singing Cha La Head Cha La even if it wasn’t the one used for the Battle of Gods movie… Is that Batsu narrating? And the face animations don’t look too bad, though the bodies themselves.

I wonder whether the story battle against Frieza will be against all of his forms, I suppose I can see the benefit of treating forms as different characters here but it can be done even if they could transform.

  • Koibito888

Well this is old news lol

Anyway, I knew it… They didn’t make SSJG Goku thin enough. Is it that hard to follow the design?

  • Go2hell66

there’s an english version of that trailer that was released almost a week ago

  • Transforming is part of the fun, and strategy! Hope this game has some kind of depth to it!

  • TheExile285

Aw, I want GT Goku :/

Oh well, if he doesn’t get in, I’ll just use SS Bardock and Brolly

    • TheMightyKamina

I Believe SS Bardock is pre-order

      • TheExile285

        Yep, he is.

        • XiaomuArisu

          poor Bardock….
I hope he keeps his unique fighting sytle
we have enough characters that use the kame style

          • TheExile285

what are you talking about? Bardock is a badass!

Oh wait, I don’t know how he plays in these types of games lol xD

          • XiaomuArisu

He was more a hitting type instead of Kamehameha┬┤s.
Even his special moves are punches to punch you deadXD

          • Sardorim

The brutal style where he hits hard and screams very violently? I liked that, set him apart from Goku and shows that he doesn’t hold back ever as he always goes all in.

      • Sardorim

They couldn’t have even come up with a new What If or something… Besides, SSJ Bardock got in as a movie and is canon somewhere due to there being 12 canon universes now.

    • Learii

      and where SSJ4 Goku

  • Deebo#Take What I Like

Dbz the only anime/game i rather hear in English dub.

  • Sardorim

Not really the ultimate team when it’s missing SSJ4 Goku.

    • British_Otaku

It’s not the ultimate team till I see Kid Goku from Dragon Ball. >_>

I always find it hard to get excited about SSJ2 Goku given how little he has done in that form. Fought Vegeta, got knocked out, given a name when shown off to Buu, Goku opts for a more powerful and less efficient form which actually looks more than a little different.

  • TheSoullesOne

70 characters my ass the majority is transformations in reality it would be about 30

  • leingod

I’d rather have one gradually transforming Goku.

  • Steven Higgins

Still no ASSJ or USSJ Goku?
I really want to see what those two can do in battle.

  • Dinoegg96

I can clearly see a goku, goku, goku & goku vs goku, goku, goku & goku fight
