By Ishaan . October 5, 2013 . 12:30pm

The patch that adds voices back into Kara no Shoujo is available to download now, MangaGamer have announced.

The patch is available as a $5 download from MangaGamer’s website if you’ve already purchased the unvoiced version of the game. If you don’t already own the game, you can download Kara no Shoujo with voices for $35.

While the Kara no Shoujo Voiced Edition is only available via download for the moment, MangaGamer have plans for a disc release in the future, although just when this will happen hasn’t been specified.

Finally, but too late. I’m now eagerly waiting for the sequel. I want it now. :(

  • Richard N

    Tsuzuriko!!~

    • Michael Connell

Wouldn’t voices make her lack of a route all the more painful? lol
Still got the patch though, must be masochistic

      • Richard N

        Agh!! Don’t remind me!

God freaking damn, crap, bitch, dangit, AGH!!!

  • AnimusVox

So what’s the synopsis for this series exactly?

    • Juan Andrés Valencia

A detective investigates a series of murders in Japan during the 50′s where women are tortured and get a black egg shell inserted into their bodies. All of this with excrutiang detail and an astonishing art direction.

      • AnimusVox

Oof…ouch. Thanks for the info, sounds interesting.

        • Juan Andrés Valencia

Just a sidenote, this is one of the few games I’d give an AO rating. Not just for the sex scenes, but I didn’t mention where the egg shell goes (Damn it Japan!) and that most of the endings kill off your favorite characters in insanely grisly ways.

          • M’iau M’iaut

Even the early scene where you find a completely unknown character’s body is written to have immense impact.

        • Kumiko Akimoto

It is amazing but depressing don’t come into this expecting a happy ending.

      • Smooosher than ever

        …Egg…shell? Wat? e.e

Basically VN version of Mouryou no Hako with slight tweak here and there

      • Juan Andrés Valencia

I had never heard about it but it’s from Madhouse and it sounds like a japanese version of Criminal Minds?

        • http://yaminoseigi.blogspot.com/ Yami no Seigi

The original work is mystery novel but got manga and anime adaptation

  • Foryth

I already decided when this was first announced that I would wait for the physical edtition. I’m really eager to play it though! (But I’m already swamped with enough games that I can wait for it.)

Great time for me to go back and finish the game. Love me some Toko <3

  • xe7en

This VN is great. Though the story can get wayyy too dark.

  • Fintlook

I didn’t expect this VN to be this good I just followed the Hype and I don’t regret it !

Will look forward when Mangagamer bring the sequel to the west. While it is not the most original VN i have read, the story is tragic enough to be interesting.

  • Aristides

I wonder if there is a demo for this :P

    • Kelohmello

      There is. Check the site.

      • Aristides

        Will do :P

  • Ouch My Head Said Dionysus

I wonder if we’ll hear about Cartagra soon!

  • David Vileta

I played this like two years ago, with voices… too bad this is so late.
Still eager to play the sequel, hopefully MangaGamer brings that over too!

  • Ladius

I bought the patch as soon as I saw it even though I completed this game ages ago, it’s so good one can’t help but trying to support it as much as possible :)

I’m really looking forward to KnS’ physical edition and to Cartagra and KnS2′s releases, for me the Innocent Grey localizations were some of the best announcements in 2013 alongside Tales of Xillia 2 and Trails in the Sky SC.

    • M’iau M’iaut

Let’s only hope they solve their current production and distribution issues so the games can actually be bought somewhere other than at a con.

  • rainelee

Will this game run on a Win 8? I had some games previously that was not compatible, unfortunately.
