You, Too, Can Hold Miku In Your Arms In Project Diva F 2nd

By Eugene . February 10, 2014 . 4:05pm

It seems the AR mode in Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F 2nd that we mentioned previously has even more functions than one is to believe.

Besides allowing users to essentially hold a “live” concert of Miku wherever they wish, AR Photo Mode will let you use the back camera of your Vita alongside projected augmented reality versions of the characters from the game. You’ll be able to pose them in different styles with your preferred modules.

You can do something similar with the Photo Studio on the PlayStation 3 version, although you’d have to figure out a way to transfer your photos to the console first. Some of the modules you can dress the characters up in include…

Rasetsu to mukuro aka Rakshasa and Corpse

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva f 2nd will be published for the PlayStation 3 and Vita on the 27th of March.

    • Göran Isacson

I don’t know- I think it is both sad and hilarious. Kind of goes both ways, you know?

  • ivanchu77

I prefer her to hold me

    • Namuro

The technology is not there yet, but some day, some day…

  • stephane3012

So close, it seems like he is going to kiss her lol.

  • neocatzon

Our resolution will be much lower than Miku herself. If only Vita cameras aren’t so grainy…

    • Freakmasta

Seriously. The Vita’s camera is a measly 1.3 megapixels. That is garbage.

      • Chaos_Knight

The 3DS’s camera is actually more garbage.

  • Kazekage Gaara

    Otaku Nation rejoice :3

    • Landale

      Why not?

    • Namuro

      For fun?

Y’know, this is kinda like how people get all giddy and take pictures with Mickey Mouse in Disneyland. You know he’s not real, it could even be a sweaty, old guy inside, but you still hug and take pictures with him anyway.

    • CirnoLakes

Because no one can love you like a waifu.

      Or hasubando.

  • Michael Richardson

Let’s hope this one makes it over to the States as well.

  • Loli Summoner

Time to take a selfy with me in my boxers laying on the bed with hatsune miku…

  • Aesma

I’m thankful for this. I always want to see her 39 Concerts, but lack the necessary time to go to Japan because of my University.

With the AR, hopefully I can at least see an ‘almost live’ version of the songs. Enough to keep my attention until I can go to the concert myself…

  • iANiMeX

I can finally hold my waifu…

  • Kumiko Akimoto

    It’s not IA so I don’t care

  • Audie Bakerson

    Technology is incredible!

  • icecoffemix

Feels so close yet so far… I wonder when we’ll ever get to SAO-like VR…

  • WyattEpp

That’s…honestly pretty creepy. More so than I expected.

  • ShawnOtakuSomething

lol pretty soon you will be able to date her in Hologram form

  • Kind of creepy in the second picture where she has no shadow.

  • Let the choreography begin…

  • I hold Miku in my hands all the time when I play with her on my Vita lol =^_^=
