By Spencer . February 12, 2014 . 10:41pm

While Kamen Rider: Battride War was a PlayStation 3 exclusive, Bandai Namco will release Kamen Rider: Battride War 2 on PlayStation 3 and Wii U. This action game has a hodgepodge of Riders from fifteen Heisei era series. The previous game focused on the TV show Riders, Kamen Rider: Battride War 2 is about the Riders in the movie versions.

    yum

Since most of the Kamen Rider games have been on Nintendo systems, this is a not too much of a surprise. Pretty cool

  • Otoya

Although I bought the premium edition for the first game. I cant remember if someone told me that you also can unlock those premium song in the normal edition as well? Is it true? Someone correct me please if i am wrong. Thanks.

    • Pyrofrost

No, those songs were exclusive to the TV Sound Edition.

The TV Sound Edition only includes “TV Size” versions of the songs as well, but you can customize the soundtrack yourself in Battride War. So lets say you have the full version of the openings and endings yourself, then you can put those on your PS3 and apply them to the game yourself.

So you could add sexy tracks like this, that weren’t even in the game:

Ah, I never now you can put those mp3 into the ps3, then is decided, i can save some money then. XD

        • Pyrofrost

I don’t know if it has been stated that this one will have customizable tracks like the first, so I would keep my eyes open.

Just keep in mind that, apparently, using mp3 from HDD increases Loading times significantly. I can confirm, that for me, they are pretty dang crazy…

    Wii U version?

Im jealous at you now, Japan….

I would laugh so hard if Kamen Rider Gaim was revealed as a playable character in SSB4 during the new Direct. lol

    • Hentailover

Gaim in Smash? That would actually give me a reason to buy it…

I guess waiting out for the second game paid off. But now I wanna wait out for the third game, just so that all the Riders in Gaim would be in it. It’s a never-ending cycle…

    • Nanaki

Those who consistently wait for the inevitable typically never fully experience the experience offered to them.

Given how the quality and improvement rate of Climax Heroes games went, I’m more than willing to wait for a long time for (hopefully) a better outcome.

        • Abend

the quality of the climax heroes games actually went down hill aside from super the first climax heroes felt most like an actual fighting game instead of getting the super meter and then spamming you super move.

Mechanics analysis of Climax Heroes aside, my point is that Tokusatsu games have hardly ever been a field Bandai puts much attention (and/or resources) in, hence my caution. (In case my previous comment wasn’t clear, I was referring to the slow rate of improvement across the games.)

Rider Generation games are quite decent from the start, but again, the second game, as nice as it was, was just built on top of the previous one, hence my decision to wait out with this.

  • Hentailover

I just hope this isn’t a Climax Heroes replacement and one day they’ll bring that back… Fighting games, to me, have way more lasting appeal than musou games. I can’t be arsed to play first Battride at the moment, but Climax Heroes I can just pop in and enjoy easily…

Great, Namco finally makes something GOOD for Wii U and it’s Japan only…
