All I know is that SBFP now have a more epic theme.

  • Pedro Rosas

Why must the Mega Man one cut during the best part? :(

  • Suicunesol

Wow. Masashi Hamauzu does Kirby’s Green Greens? Sure sounds like it! I keep imagining Lightning for some reason… especially when the violin comes in.

Of these samples, I think I like Michiko’s arrangement of Spirit Tracks the most.

  • Freakmasta

Yuzo Koshiro’s take on Pokemon battle sounds so much more epic. And it’s not that big of a difference. But when you see that name, it just makes it bigger.

    • AuraGuyChris

It felt to me that this remix feels less action-packed that the original track…

      • HarakiriKami

I know it felt like a different song at first lol

  • tvrsteve

Yoko pls. How does anybody make this beauty become so dull?

    • AkuLord3

Well its just being another take on it, its not as powerful, actiony pack as the original

    • HarakiriKami

I like the new version of it actually

  • Green Greens Ver. 2 makes me think we’ll see an old Kirby stage making a return. Oh, and for those that are interested, it seems the Smash Bros. website updates with 2 new tracks every Monday, Wednesday and Friday based on what’s been released so far.

    • Thanks for that tidbit!

      • No problem. Don’t quote me on that, though. I’m just guessing and I’ve already had to edit my post for a miscalculation on my part.

        • Oh, haha. I’ll keep that in mind~. Thanks nonetheless though!

  • Raymond

I see my self playing the nintendogs stage a lot. That is some good beat down music right there. XD

  • Dianatos

*Crosses fingers for a remix of “Id ~ Purpose”*

    • NintendoPSXTheSecond

Too bad so sad, it’s an original version. Much like the other Fire Emblem song from Radiant Dawn on Wii U. Guess Sakurai doesn’t like remixing Fire Emblem music much. (Also barely remixed Brawl’s).

      • Dianatos

I’m happy with that. Just saying I’d be a bit happier if it was remixes

  • sharinganmor92

why is it the x and y remixes all sound better tha the actual game its from any who hope they some of the origins tracks in here

    • AlteisenX

X and Y’s soundtrack was definitely a step backwards imo. Black and White had an awesome E4 song, and the world championship remixes of past games… they sounded great. X and Y in general felt like going back to Gen 4 to me.

      • PreyMantis

What!? X and Y still had great music!

        • Compared to Gen 1 and especially Gen 2… it sucked. The gym leader music was wtf just a bunch of techno crap not even real music. X and Y was a major step back in the soundtrack department.

          • Jonah Paley

The Gym Leader music being crappy – which it was, though I liked the remix used for the Mega Lucario fight – doesn’t make the rest of the OST suck. Snowbelle, Shalour, Mastery Tower, the super cool Power Plant theme (same theme as the Pokeball Factory theme mentioned above), beautiful Route 15/16 theme, the Flare battle theme and Flare Leader battle theme, Diantha’s battle music (and the Elite Four’s), the amazingly epic legendary theme for Xerneas, Yveltal, and Zygarde, the Friend theme and its remixes, Sycamore’s theme (and his lab’s theme was also great), all 4 ending and credit themes, Emma’s theme, both the Super Training and Hidden Super Training themes…I could go on all day. And that’s not counting the remixes of older gen music (besides obvious stuff like the title screen and the Pokemon Center, there’s Looker’s Theme, the Kanto legendary theme, Jubilife City’s theme, and Unwavering Emotions, as far as I can remember off the top of my head. Oh, and the World Championship theme, but that’s hidden in the game’s coding and, like the Pokemon Center birthday remix, isn’t in the official soundtrack.)

          • HarakiriKami

Gen 1 wasnt that great. Only great songs were the battle ones.

HGSS has great music tho. Platinum and Emerald have fantastic OSTs

          • The Gym Battle theme in XY is my favorite idgaf

        • NintendoPSXTheSecond

Don’t worry bro I’m with you on this. Trainer Battle, Gym Battle, Snowbelle City, Pokeball Factory, Team Flare’s theme’s, Diantha and more. I don’t know why people say X/Y is weak.

        • HarakiriKami

          I know right? Awesome Remix

        • AlteisenX

I’ve noticed a lot of people are posting the remixes and not the originals… that is proving my point. You enjoy the remixes more than the originals…

      • AuraGuyChris

Well, to me, the only good track in X & Y was the trainer battle theme.

      • I loved Gen 4 tracks so for me it’s not a step backwards.

    • PreyMantis

Due to the size of the game and how much content it contains on a small cartridge, it’s most likely compressed. Usually, when a game file size is too big, the game developers have to compress certain parts/a game to squeeze everything altogether which can reduce the quality of certain parts of a game. This is most likely the reason the music in the game don’t quite sound as great as they should.

  • Princess_Eevee9

Please Gourmet Race next plz. PLEASE GOURMET RACE NEXT PLZ!

    • I want to hear that so bad. ;u;
Let it be the perfect composer to arrange it too.

      • Princess_Eevee9

You know I’d be fine if they took Brawl’s version and just amped it to Wii U soundfont and made a classical orchestra version.

        • Oh~! I would not be opposed to that either. >u<

  • TheGioG

Full Steam Ahead Remix sounded so perfect, brings a dang tear to my eye. The Malladus Final Battle Theme needs a re-orchestration, hands down. Same reason why I want Id – Purpose there too; they both sneak their game’s main theme into one hell of a song that sums up their hero’s journey to the final battle so majestically.

  • Adrián Alucard

  • Ecchitori

Before I go, I just had to hear themes and now I’ll say:(pic)

  • Mark Lengod

    Michiko Naruke <3

    Wild Arms MEETS Zelda

    • Akimitsu

I swear Michiko Naruke has such a distinct style that it’s very easy to tell whenever one of her tracks comes up. I loved her arrangement of Stickerbrush Symphony in Brawl, although some people didn’t seem to like it.

  • katamari damacy

Disappointed with that Mega Man 2 theme. They should have used the 10 minute version The Minibosses recorded

    • Dascylus

Here’s to hoping you can use custom music :P

  • Ugh, when I saw “Trainer Battle” I thought it was the awesome one from Kanto, not the crappy Kalos one. At least the Mega Man 2 theme is good. Hopefully they include Dr. Wily’s Castle theme too.

    • HarakiriKami

      The kanto one sucks.

      Guitar master race :P

  • wahyudil

why rockman 2 still used that 8 bit musics … I want the cooler modern remix version

    • ReidHershel

It’s probably not the full thing.

    • Perseids

It matches the character: Remix of 8-bit Mega man, and remix of 8-bit music. Maybe if they added Zero, or X, we might get a remix..?

    • Aside from echoing both Perseids and ReidHershel’s sentiments, ya gotta keep in mind that this is just one track. We don’t know how many MM2 (or MM in general) tracks we’ll have~.

  • ReidHershel

    Dat Green Greens Violin doe.

  • NightzeroAX

Yuzo Koshiro and Masashi Hamauzu :D

  • Nu Blitz

can’t get enough of that bath time theme

  • Aemette

Koshiro! Maybe in the 3DS version we can get some small shout out to Etrian Odyssey…

  • KuroNathan

did anyone else think of Ibis’s theme when they heard the multi-man smash?

    • HarakiriKami

Nah, its a remix of the main theme without the guitar/bass/piano section

      • KuroNathan

well not the entire song, but they have similar openings

  • That Hamauzu~. I just hope he also got to work on a boss song for Kirby. I think it would have been more fitting than Green Greens for him.

I don’t remember, but did they say how much more music the Wii U version would have?

    • AuraGuyChris

      No, they didn’t.

But they said each stage in the 3DS version would have only two tracks each.

      • Yeah, I remembered the two tracks part, which made me kind of curious. Hoping the Wii U version will have at least five tracks. Brawl had such an amazing OST, I will not forgive Sakurai if he doesn’t let them match that (they better exceed it though). . .

  • HarakiriKami

Best part of the main theme is when the piano and bass comes in around 1:05

  • Yindustries LLC

Dat Green Greens theme! So good, it could probably make the smoothest transition into Blinded by Light and nobody would bat an eye.

  • Kornelious

C’mon! Let’s here some Xenoblade and Fire Emblem music! :D

  • Anime10121

Dose Megaman, Kirbeh, and Pokemon themes! Swoons <3

  • Megaman’s make me Rock.. H- *Gets shot*

  • Guillermo Oliva III

Wow, Rockman, Pokemon…. are really done amazing! :D

  • Namuro

That Rockman Medley, man… Especially at 0:52.

    So good!

  • Yan Zhao

Urgh the Megaman Medley stopped at the best part!!!!

  • fairysun

    Megaman 2 Medley!!

  • PragmaticSoul

Holy shit Masashi Hamauzu and Yoko Shimomura? Well Yoko was in Brawl so no surprise there. #NobuoWhen

  • WyattEpp

Damn, this is some good stuff! Let’s just hope THIS game actually gets a soundtrack release this time. :<

  • SetzerGabbiani

Hmm….Maybe my expectations are too high, but I’m not feeling Yoko Shimomura’s interpretation of that particular Dream Team song. After what she did with Tetris A in Brawl with the way that song ultimately builds into an amazing piano/violin/percussion climax, this was lackluster…granted it’s just a snippet. I’m ready for her to give me goosebumps again.

The Megaman 2 medley and Green Greens are really good pieces of music so far.

    • MrSirFeatherFang

This is an arrangement of her own work, maybe she just wanted to experiment a little? Although I agree, we’ve only heard a small snippet, not the full version yet

  • JustJam

Masashi Hamauzu who did Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy XIII. Wow did not expect him to be doing my main, Kirby’s series haha :D
