PC Modders Add A First-Person Mode To Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes now has a first-person mode due to the work of PC modders.

Yep, the “FPS Mod” by modder Pao lets you see through the eyes of Big Boss the entire time (and not just when aiming down iron sights) as you sneak and shoot your way around Camp Omega.

As to be expected, the mod isn’t perfect – at least not yet – as objects and Snake’s body will disappear at times, especially when crawling, and the pistol animations aren’t up to scratch. But, for the most part, it seems to be a solid step into the first-person perspective.

Obviously, do be careful if you intend to install and use the mod with Ground Zeroes so as to not screw up the game’s files. You can download Pao’s FPS Mod on Nexus Mods.

Looks to be a very impressive mod.

  • Konami should have this feature as an unlockable, at least. Gives the game a refreshing new look, hence, more replayability. Kudos, however, to the modder who had it possible beforehand given the game’s mechanics.

fps mode was already in but only when you’re aiming down site… not to mention this is not real fps mode where you can see your arms, legs and body as you move.

First-Person must be like #2 on modders’ to do lists for every game. After nude mods of course.

Pretty sure you can go stealth properly with this.

I can’t wait for the Phantom Pain nude mods for the Quiet. Oh, and the ability to play as the Quiet, since we already know we can play as Hideo Kojima in Ground Zeroes, so I trust this is a likely scenario.

Imagine me as the Quiet and my partner as the Quiet. Nude sisters, unite!

Hearing “Words… aren’t… enough. ;_;” in first person. I don’t know if my fragile heart can take it.

Kinda curious if this means they’ll take the eye-patch into consideration when making the sights. Would be kinda funny if this game could teach people what it’s like to aim/judge distance/etc with just one eye.
