A Woman Raised As A Man Has To Lead An Army In This Otome Visual Novel

Otome visual novel Queen At Arms is about Marcus Cordale, a woman who was raised as man, as she attempts to lead a mad king’s army to victory.

Marcus was rescued from a violent political coup in her home country as a child and raised as a boy in order to protect her identity. Later, on her 18th birthday, Marcus joins the army of Orthera to find her elder brother. But she suddenly rises through the ranks when a war breaks out. Now she has to lead a battle against the country she was born into.

As Marcus, you have to try to maintain relationships with friends and soldiers, but every personal decision you make can have big consequences as they may affect the outcome of battles.

Also, before heading into battle, you have time to hone your skills in various disciplines, including swordplay, medicine, and magic. The skills you learn will also affect how battles turn out. Mixed in with all of this are secrets, romance, and bloodshed, all of which have political implications.

So Queen At Arms is an interesting visual novel in how it puts personal relationships in a volatile position as what you do, even the smallest things, can impact the lives of an entire army at war.

You can find out more about it on its website. It was successfully Kickstarted in September 2014 with it hopefully being released in early 2015. You can also vote for it to come to Steam on Greenlight.
