One Piece: Burning Blood features a bunch of characters we’ve seen from throughout the series, and the game’s latest trailer gives us a rundown on the game system details and how you’ll be fighting.
The video starts out with the basics, including a look at the main Devil Fruit types, and how you’ll get to use Haki to hit Logia-type characters that are immune to regular attacks. The 3v3 team battle fights revolve around using Devil Fruit abilities and Haki. You can call for support using the Drive Chain system, and come up with your own mix of combos.
The game features a mode that lets you relive the Marineford Arc which unlocks new parts as you clear the stages. There are also some episodes that require special conditions to be met to be unlocked.
Wanted Versus Mode is basically a VS mode that lets you battle to your heart’s content. It’s a good way to learn how to play and brush up your skills using a variety of characters. You can practice learning combos or put settings such as auto-guard, or a setting for automatic combos. You can also connect two controllers to play against a friend in this mode, or play against other players in the online mode.
One Piece: Burning Blood will release in Japan on April 21, North America on May 31, and June 3, 2016 in Europe for PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, and PC.
