D3 Publisher opened a new countdown teaser site with a countdown that ends in a little over 7 days, just on time for Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Asia’s press conference. [Thanks, Hokanko-Alt.]
Located on the bottom of the countdown is the top image that asks “Love ping pong?”
While we were expected to get a new image for each day until the reveal, the following images were discovered through digging around on the website:
“The golf?”
“Love smash?”
“The baseball?”
“The soccer?”
“The punishment?”
So, what does this have to do with Earth Defense Force 5? Well, nothing that we can really think of for the time being, but there was a source code that read “EDF5” on the countdown site. While it’s not a confirmation, our hopes are high in seeing the latest installment of the cult classic series at Sony’s event next week.
