Sanrio announced a Rainy Day event featuring four Sanrio characters dressed up in raincoats and holding umbrellas. The event will run from June 7, 2024 to July 9, 2024 at Sanrio’s Harmonyland.
The Rainy Day event is for plum rain (tsuyu) season in East Asia. The late spring and early summer months tend to get a lot of rainy and flooding, as well as high humidity. During the Rainy Day Sanrio event, people who visit Harmonyland will get to see the raincoat-wearing mascots performing a live show, as well as take pictures with them and at special photo spots. People will also be able to purchase goods of Hello Kitty, Cinnamoroll, Keroppi, and Kuromi. Some of the photo spots and events are only available on rainy days.
Harmonyland is, like Puroland, a Sanrio amusement park that is in Kyushu. Like in Puroland, you can see Sanrio characters hanging out and take pictures with them, eat snacks, and purchase merchandise. Harmonyland also features rides such as a ferris wheel and a train. You will actually be able to take the pictures with the train from employee-only seats during the Rainy Day event. However, this will be limited to rainy days.
The Rainy Day event at Sanrio Harmonyland will run from June 7, 2024, to July 9, 2024.
