Valkyria Revolution’s Yasunori Mitsuda Speaks About Its Soundtrack

Recommended Videos

While Valkyria Revolution may have gameplay that is quite different from Valkyria Chronicles, Sega brought in a familiar composer for its music. Yasunori Mitsuda, known for his work on Chrono Trigger, Xenogears, Soma Bringer, and Inazuna Eleven, worked on the soundtrack with the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra. In a new video, Mitsuda talks about the game’s music, specifically going over what it was like to compose “Azure Revolution,” its main theme song.

“Azure Revolution” features vocals by Sarah Alainn. You may recognize her from her work on “Beyond the Sky,” (Xenoblade Chronicles’s ending theme. “Beyond the Sky” is another Mitsuda composition.)

Valkyria Revolution will come to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in North America on June 27, 2017. It will come to Europe on June 30, 2017.
