The book goes into detail about the technology used to develop the AI for companion characters, NPCs, and monsters in Final Fantasy XV, as well as an invisible meta-AI system that works in a similar way to a “game master.” In addition, the book includes talks with various FFXV programmers, designers, and members of the development team that offer their perspective into the future of video game artificial intelligence.

Back in May 2022, Square Enix revealed that Final Fantasy XV had surpassed over 10 million units sold worldwide, including sales of the base console game, the PC version, and the Final Fantasy XV: Royal Edition.
