Persona 5 Reaches 1.8 Million In Worldwide Shipments

Yesterday during the Sega Nama live stream that featured Persona director Katsura Hashino, it was revealed that Persona 5 had surpassed 1.8 million copies in worldwide shipments. [Thanks, Persona Central.]

Last we heard, Atlus announced back in April that Persona 5 had shipped out 1.5 million copies, so that means about 300,000 units have shipped since then. A large bulk of that likely comes from the South Korean version of the game that came out on June 8, 2017.

Persona 5 first released in Japan in September 15, 2016 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. The game released in North America and Europe on July 4, 2017.
