The next entry in Hamster’s Arcade Archives line now has a product listing in the Japanese Nintendo Switch eShop. It will arrive in that region on December 22, 2017. It will be ¥823 yen. A worldwide release date has yet to be confirmed, however Mario Bros. received a simultaneous, worldwide release on September 27, 2017. (Thanks, NomComms!)

Vs. Super Mario Bros. is the arcade version of the original Super Mario Bros. and features a number of differences. It is a two player game, where player one is Mario and player two is Luigi. Many of the levels are altered or changed, with six new levels added. Some power-ups placements are different or removed entirely. You also can’t warp to worlds 7 or 8 via a Warp Zone.

This is the second Arcade Archives game for the Nintendo Switch. The first was Mario Bros. Additional entries will be Punch-Out!!, Vs. Balloon Fight, Vs. Clu Clu Land, Vs. Ice Climber, Vs. Pinball, Vs. Urban Champion, and Vs. Wrecking Crew.
