Occamur Island was once a mining island that thrived with a huge gold rush. In Dragon Quest Builders 2, the protagonist will head to Occamur Island in search of new ways to build metal objects. Since most of the place is covered in sand, you’ll need to find most of the loot including ores like gold and silver in the mines.

While the land might look like a typical dessert, there’s plenty to discover underground.

Not only are there mines but you’ll also come across underground lakes, hidden treasures, and much more.

Occamur was once booming thanks to the gold rush, but since the mines closed down things have been a lot more quiet. Occamur is no longer the place to craft metal objects that it used to be but that doesn’t mean it’s over. By spreading some cheer with its people you can bring back their motivation and help bring back the mines.

Unfortunately for the folks at Occamur, they don’t have a bar to relax at after a hard day of work, so you could see why they’re lacking the motivation to get anything done. Maybe you could lend a hand by building a bar for the miners.

Here are a couple key characters you meet at Occamur:

Pero

Pero was once the bar sweetheart of a tavern that they used to have at Occamur. Her wish is to rebuild the bar so that the men of town can find their energy to work again.

Massimo

A miner who arrived to help out Pero. He also brought his buddy Mills to help out.

Carlo

A man who was previously known as a talented blacksmith. Due to Hargon’s Order banning all building, his business has struggled.

Lastly, here’s a look at some of the monsters you’ll encounter here:

Mad Mole

Funghoul

Chasmonight

Dragon Quest Builders 2 releases in Japan on December 20, 2018 for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. In case you missed it, there’s also going to be a demo sometime before the game releases in Japan.
