MediEvil Remaster Tease Suggests Sir Daniel Voice Actor Is Returning

Recommended Videos

In the PlayStation Blogcast this week, Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Shawn Layden noted that MediEvil remaster news would be coming soon. Now, shortly after that announcement, Jay Gunn has teased his possible association with the game on Twitter. He uploaded himself a picture of himself wearing a bucket, in a room with a lot of references to zombies, death, and the undead.

Here is why this makes sense. Jay Gunn is the pen name for Jason Wilson. As he notes in his Twitter bio, he was responsible for the Lead Art and Design of MediEvil and provided the voice acting for Sir Daniel Fortesque, the series’ lead in multiple installments. He achieved the trademark sound of the character by gritting his teeth and wearing a bucket while recording his lines. By sharing a tweet where he is wearing a bucket and saying, “The things that I do to prepare for some jobs,” he is suggesting he has recorded new lines for a MediEvil game.

The MediEvil remaster was announced at the 2017 PlayStation Experience. We haven’t heard about it since. The first MediEvil came out on the PlayStation on October 1, 1998. It was followed by MediEvil 2 for the PlayStation and MediEvil: Resurrection for the PlayStation Portable.
