Akiba’s Beat Coming To North America And Europe In May

Akiba’s Beat finally has a release date beyond Q1 2017 in North America and Europe. The PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita game will be available digitally and physically on May 16, 2017. The European release will follow on May 19, 2017. Pre-orders of physical copies at certain retailers in both North America and Europe will include a Pinkun pocket plush.

 

In addition to the release date, XSEED issued a reminder that Akiba’s Beat features full voice acting. The game’s over 180 characters have about 22,000 lines. In the PlayStation Blog post, Localization Specialist Tom Lipschultz notes that, “… our English voice cast features the likes of Chris Patton, Erica Mendez, Tia Ballard, Robbie Daymond, Cherami Leigh, Ed Bosco, Ray Chase, Mick Wingert, Cristina Vee, Todd Haberkorn, and Brittney Karbowski appearing in her first ever video game role as the game’s mascot character, Pinkun – among many, many other talented people, of course!”

 

An Akiba’s Beat launch trailer was also released to show some of the places players will be exploring and enemies they’ll be fighting.

 

 

Akiba’s Beat appeared on the PlayStation 4 in Japan on December 15, 2016. It will arrive on the PlayStation Vita in Japan on April 27, 2017.
