Earlier this year, Nintendo announced that the Switch sold 14.86 million units worldwide, and today we learned that the Japanese market contributed to 4 million units in sales according to Famitsu’s tracker for the weekly sales chart.

Going by Famitsu’s numbers, the Nintendo Switch sold about 52,000 units in Japan last week, that helped give it a push to reach 4 million units sold in Japan on its 56th week since release. This pace is similar to that of the Wii which sold 4 million units in Japan in 54 weeks.

The Nintendo Switch launched worldwide in March 3, 2017.
