Bandai Namco released the latest screenshots and details for Accel World vs. Sword Art Online, with some story and setting details as well as screenshots for the characters revealed thus far.

Kirito, Asuna, and Yui have been spending peaceful days in the Norse mythology-based VRMMO “ALfheim Online.”

However, one day they hear a sudden alarm: “An emergency maintenance will be carried out today, starting this moment.”

After hearing the announcement, something seems a bit off with Yui, as she leaves somewhere. As Kirito and Asuna go after her, they encounter the avatar of a black humanoid machine.

“Here we go! My name is Black King, “Black Lotus!!”

The acceleration and virtual worlds will collide, beyond time.

The world of “Brain Burst” consumes the world of ALfheim Online. Mysterious buildings appear in ALO as the lands and skies of BB and ALO cross. At times there will be allies, at times there will be enemies, as you solve the mystery behind the crossing of the acceleration world and virtual world.

The battle system, GS (Ground-Sky) Active Change Battle will have parties of three, and you’ll get to mix and match with characters from both Accel World and Sword Art Online.
