Both of Reki Kawahara’s worlds will meet in Accel World vs. Sword Art Online, and Bandai Namco’s latest trailer gives us a closer look at the game’s characters and battle system that’s based on Lost Song.
The world of “Brain Burst” consumes ALO, and it’s basically how the two worlds meet. As far as gameplay goes, Sword Art Online characters specialize in aerial combat, while the Accel World characters will specialize in ground battles. Since you’ll be able to mix and match your party of three with characters from both sides, knowing how to find a proper balance will be one of the fundamentals of the game.
Since the game will feature over 30 playable characters from both series, you’ll have plenty of party combinations to work with in your crossover adventure. You can read more about the game here and here.
Accel World vs. Sword Art Online releases in Japan on March 16, 2017 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
