Oh, so Aya’s liberation gauge isn’t used to transform into a mitochondrial monster like the liberate attack in Parasite Eve. In The 3rd Birthday it triggers a state where Aya shoots special shots and automatically evades enemy attacks. The liberation gauge fills up when Aya is engaged in combat. When its full you can strike back with a liberation.
