In Persona 3 lore, Aigis is an Anti-Shadow Suppression Weapon, which essentially means she is a robot. In order to summon a Persona, she has a heart. Her starting Persona is Palladion. Though she starts the game as a very robotic-like character, she slowly starts to gain more human-like emotions, allowing her to act like a real person. Aigis is an incredibly prominent character in the Persona 3 story, and was even the main character in The Answer, which was an epilogue chapter from Persona 3 Fes.

Maaya Sakamoto will reprise her role as Aigis in Persona 3 Reload. Other roles that Sakamoto has portrayed over the years include Ciel Phantomhive in Black Butler, Aerith in Final Fantasy VII, and the various versions of Jeanne d’Arc in the Fate series. She is also a singer.

Here is the English version:

In the English dub, Dawn Michelle Bennett voices Aigis. She has taken over the role from Karen Strassman. Bennett previously voiced Frosch in Fairy Tail, Female Shez in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, and Yukong in Honkai: Star Rail.

Persona 3 Reload will come out on the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and Windows PC via Steam on February 2, 2024. You can read our preview of the game here.
