This fighting game was originally released on Steam as Arcana Heart 3 LoveMax!!!!! in September 2015. Examu and Team Arcana held a Kickstarter project to bring the newer arcade version SixStars!!!!!! to PC in 2017. The project was funded with stretch goals to add two new characters and a new Arcana called Parace L’sia. Pistrix was previously known by the code name Shark Girl.

The Xtend update added two new stages — Town of Franklin MA and Teganuma Par — to Arcana Heart 3. It also raised the aspect ratio from 4:3 to 16:9 and updated the battle balance. Team Arcana previously released an early test version of Xtend to Kickstarter backers in February 2020. It gave them early access to the new version and characters, albeit with some bugs.

Arcana Heart 3 LoveMax SixStars!!!!!! Xtend is now available on PC via Steam. The game currently has a 67% discount to coincide with the new updated version and the Golden Week Sale, which goes until May 6, 2021.
