Koei Tecmo announced Atelier Lydie & Suelle’s release date today, and they also shared some new info in this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine. [Thanks, Ryokutya2089.]
The magazine reveals Firis Mistlud, the protagonist of Atelier Firis: The Alchemist and the Mysterious Journey, as a new character for the game. She’ll use a bow as her weapon.
Ilmeria Von Leinweber, the “genius” alchemist from Atelier Firis was also revealed as a returning character. She’ll be an actual alchemy master in Atelier Lydie & Suelle.
We’re also introduced to a brand new character, Roger Marlen, the father of Lydie and Suelle. He’s described as a no-good father and mad scientist, but his ability as an artist is second to none.
Suelle’s “Ambition Notebook” is a feature that gets filled up as you accomplish ambitions and increase reputation. By increasing your reputation you can take on a trial from the kingdom to rank up.
Atelier Lydie & Suelle: Alchemists of the Mysterious Painting releases in Japan on December 21, 2017 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and Nintendo Switch. The game releases in North America, Europe, and Asia in 2018 plus a PC release.
