Yesterday, Siliconera learned that the Western version of Persona 5 won’t feature dual audio, but public relations manager of Atlus USA said on Twitter that they’ll look into bringing Japanese voices via DLC.
So, once again: All we are confirming at P5 launch is English dub. I’m looking into the possibility of JPN vo as DLC, but no news there.

The above is the tweet from John Harding, who also shared “regarding expectations, know that is a massively steep, uphill request.”
As some of you may know, there’s a lot that goes into bringing Japanese voiceovers to the West, which also includes licensing, and titles such as Persona 5 that are rich in voice talents makes it that much more difficult. Nonetheless, it’s good to see that Atlus is listening to their fans and we hope to see Japanese audio brought over to the West in one way or another.
Persona 5 will release in Japan on September 15, 2016 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. The game is headed to North America and South America on February 17, 2017.
