IGA also explained that in the Backer Demo, players will head to the castle via ship, passing through a ruined village in the process. Apart from Miriam, Johannes, Gebel, Dominique, Zangetsu, and Alfred will be a part of the storyline shown in the demo.

There are special commands that are new to the Backer Demo, as well as new enemies and shards to try out. In addition, players can try out the item shop and alchemy room, where they can purchase items and upgrade shards.

The option to cook will also be available in the demo, and by eating cooked food Miriam can increase her stat parameters permanently.

Finally, as mentioned before, there will be a sidequest available in the demo where Miriam needs to help a villager named Lindsay kill eight enemies called Mortes.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night will come to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One and PC in 2018.
