Buena Vista Games acquires Climax Racing

Before joining the ranks of Buena Vista Games, Climax Racing had a tight knit relationship with Sony. They created the ATV Offroad Fury series specifically for Playstation consoles. The real question is why would BVG want Climax Racing? Are they going to bring the ATV Offroad Fury series to other platforms? Perhaps some insight comes from Tony Beckwith, co-founder of the studio. He says, “the Walt Disney Company holds one of the largest and most exciting portfolios of intellectual property in the world, and through BVG, we look forward to having access to the company’s deep resources in the video games space to continue creating remarkable interactive entertainment.” Don’t be surprised if you see Mickey Mouse’s Magical Offroad Fury coming to a console near you.
