Collection of SaGa Final Fantasy Legend TGS 2020 Trailer Shows Love to Each Game

People are going to get to go way back in December. Collection of SaGa Final Fantasy Legend will let people experience the three Game Boy SaGa games again. But, in case it’s difficult to remember what each one was like and about, Square Enix’s Tokyo Game Show 2020 trailer offers a better look at each one. In fact, the English one lets you see it all in English again.

This video begins with an overview looking at all three of the games. Knowing the basic gist is a good reminder. Final Fantasy Legend is the one where there’s a tower in the world that connects multiple worlds, which you’ll get to visit. Final Fantasy Legend II is the one where you’re chasing after your missing father and collecting 77 pieces of MAGI in other worlds. (Since both the first and second games involve a tower, it might be difficult to tell them apart.) Final Fantasy Legend III involves using time travel to stop the Pureland Water Entity’s waters from engulfing the entire world.

Things get interesting at the 1:35 mark. That’s when you can see the new additions unique to the collection. It starts by showing the optional vertical screen settings and virtual pads. You can also choose to enable a “high-speed mode” that lets you move and go through battles more quickly.

Collection of SaGa Final Fantasy Legend will launch on the Nintendo Switch on December 15, 2020. Japan is even getting a 30th anniversary limited edition.
